Old Japanese knives
Few oldies. The old guardless Bazar almost seems German with nickel silver bolsters

Nice! I have one like yours in the middle. There has been some debate as to whether it might be German but I think it is Japanese.

Hey thanks! You seem like a passionate collector. That’s me. Passionate to a fault. But 100% a collectorPanzerfaust wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 2:15 am Nice! I have one like yours in the middle. There has been some debate as to whether it might be German but I think it is Japanese.
Can we see your treasure?

Cool knife! That looks like a German original. Hard to say. Maybe one if the experts will chime in…
Re: Old Japanese knives
Here’s my one and only “Japanese” brass shell puller (with the typical “criss-crossed” jigging”.)
It was a mess when I got it for $5, but I made a working spring and managed to address a 1/8 inch blade “peek”.
Overall, I’m please with the result. (Too bad that the blade was worn so much.)
Thanks for starting this string!
