Broken kick spring on an old lever lock. Need help
Broken kick spring on an old lever lock. Need help
Hey everyone, first time post. Just picked this beauty up, sadly it's kick spring is cracked. Was wondering if anyone could direct me to where I might be able to pick up a replacement kickspring and can anyone tell me if it's as easy as pulling the old one out and sliding a new one in or would I have to take the entire knife apart.. Tang is stamped inox, thats it, no other markings. I figure this is ither an old French, Italian or Spanish made lever . Any info would be appreciated

Your knife is French.
It needs to be taken apart, a custom spring made for it, and reassembled.

That's a beautiful old leverlock 1stL. The gentleman that told you what repairs are needed is an expert in automatic knives so you can bank on what he told you.
