switchblade repair

Post by Shuler »

Shuler here...I just want to say the most important thing in repairing our autos is PATIENCE! I just replaced a spring on a ShurSnap which has the tang spring holder. Luckily I had a donor knife that co-operated. I noticed another ShurSnap needed the rear finger guard added...once again a donor knife. Keep our hobby alive and on the road!

Agreed, I've only ever done one auto as illegal in the uk , but I got a busted one in a trade ages ago , I usually re scale and repair slipjoints in a day but I spent over 7 days on this one, had blade peak and the blade flicked out by itself, original lock button was broke so made a new one , it all works perfectly, sad it has to live life hidden away :(
