Schrade "Commando" w/chain

Any opinions/evidence as to whether this Schrade "Commando" was issued with the chain shown. The "Commando" etch or chain is not mentioned in Mr. Cole's book.

That is not an issued knife.The "Commando" etch makes it civilian, post war.
