Greetings Folks,

I was excited to get this beauty by Lelle Floris, as it was my very last purchase of 2022 which I actually bought on the very last day of the year, so a great way to finish up the year.

Overall length is 13 3/8" (or 34cm), so it's a bit of a beast in comparison to my usual 11/28s. Black horn scales and no safety. It's the second Floris I have and and confess, it's a cracker and I'm thrilled to have it.. ::ds::

Cheerio,
Roy

Thanks Marco,

Pleased you like it mate, you've got great taste.. :D

It wasn't on my list but got a heads up from an Italian contact, so couldn't resist even though it left me somewhat broke. As you know I have one on order but who knows how long that will be. This one is certainly an eyeful. Much larger than I would normally go for but hey, it's good to step out of one's comfort zone occasionally.

That is a beautiful knife. Very classy lines and the silver and black is a classic good look.

So you bought your knife on Dec. 31st/2022 and received it Jan. 7th/2023, is that correct Roy? If it is, it must have already been built when you bought it, or were the circumstances different than that? I know whenever I browse the site they never have any immediately available, you need to book an order to have it built, so I'm just wondering how you got it so quickly? Thanks man! 8)

Yes, that's right mate.

It was already build and offered for sale, I snapped it up and they sent it via DHL and it arrived late yesterday evening on the 6th.

A recent addition..

..was this lovely 9"/23㎝ Walt's Latama Classic in Abalone circa 2020 complete with presentation box!

Especially thrilled as it's a 'perfect' little piece and complete with both boxes.

If anyone has similar they would part with feel free to drop me a line.

Wow, very nice Roy! ::tu::
Generally I'm not a big fan of Abalone, but the fire in your knife can't be denied, it's stunning. ::nod::
I know getting the boxes along with the knife was important to you, so I'm glad it all worked out in your favor. ::handshake::
Now, you'll have to start keeping an eye out for some older vintage Latamas at reasonable prices to accent your collection. ::hmm::
Got you email bud, didn't reply cuz didn't have nuthin' to say! ::shrug:: 8)

Hi Folks,

Here is my new Lelle Floris Prioletta Switchblade. Quite possibly my new favorite.!

It’s modeled after one of the oldest type of Italian Switchblades made by Prioletta. This one is 8 3/4” overall with a 4” blade and black horn scales. A wonderful and perfect little switchblade, I just can’t stop handling it. My third Lelle Floris knife, all of which I’ve been thrilled with.

Roy

My goodness, what a beauty, Roy!
Perhaps you should forget PVK and concentrate on these knives instead, at least you know you'll get it and it will be working perfectly.
And should something go sideways I'm sure those fellas will honor their work.
I'm so envious of you right now! ::mdm::

Thanks for all your kind works Marco,

Always appreciated my friend. I really like this one, it's just 'perfect' in every respect. I actually have a 'special' order I placed six months ago, so I'm hoping for something extra special to share in the future.

I couldn't resist, here is a pic of all three of my Floris knives.

Roy

Don't even try to resist, Roy, those knives deserve to be viewed as often as possible.
I can't believe I'm having all the trouble I am ordering a knife from that site. I've been looking into them for over 2 yrs. and still don't own any, and you have pounded out these 3 and another on the way in a very short time. I just don't get it!?!?!? ::shrug::
Congratulations on another beautiful acquisition buddy! 8)

Thanks Marco,

Your enthusiasm and kind words are always upliftings. Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble ordering, fingers crossed.

Here's a new Latama, this time a custom in White Bone.

That's another beautiful example for your Latama collection, Roy.
I love the contrast between the turquoise button and white covers, looks great.
Was this your special order you've been waiting for? ::shrug::
