..."Teja & Rosa"

Post by tenntuxedo »

.. recent estate find,.. "as new" Teja and Rosa stamped 28cm knife,.. handle is rounded in the old style, no flat sides, scales are flush to the bolsters, and pins are smooth with the scales,... a beautiful knife,... I know that Teja and Rosa made some of the early knives for the LATAMA import group, but have never seen a switchblade with their personal stamp,.. would like to see photos of others if anyone has one,... (makers Teja and Rosa are on the far left in the photo with LATAMA representatives),....

That's nice find right there, looking forward to seeing what folks have to say on it. I'm sure somebody treasured it.
Being curious, I poked around a bit, might be the same source you used, but this pic adds a little extra info...

not sure why you would say bill knows anything about this knife he is not the #1 guy on vintage italian stilettos or automatics  sure he has repaired a few but not the most knowledgeable on them . there are few books you can buy or other forums with info on these old italian knives .
the knife you have is rare and the size in a rare one also , ive seen smaller stilettos made by Teja& Rosa but this is first ive seen of this size , im guessing its a 11".
Teja&Rosa made small folders (not switchblades) for the Latama co. back in 1950's . they did made switchblades too but not many, hell i had thought by now someone would post this info .
