Having long ago spent a year in Providence, I'm fond of all these wild finds.

Recently, this pocket knife arrived and it now becomes the latest example to join this topic or thread and to join my general pocket knife collection. It came in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I am pleased to have it, but I did not buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. It is a COLONIAL, two blades, two tang stamps, two springs, 2 5/8" closed (not including the bail), souvenir or tourist pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "COLONIAL (over) PROV. U.S.A. (over) ?012" I'm 99.999% sure that the first digit is a "2" The secondary blade front tang stamp says "COLONIAL (over) PROV. U.S.A." The shield says "UNDERGROUND FOREST - MICHIGAN" Overall, this pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It needed no cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Nice one David, that's an old one with the curved stamp. I have never seen that celluloid pattern/coloration before, I like it.

I have one that looks almost like it but it's a single blade and in bad condition, looks like it was run over by a truck

You know redrider that’s a great idea. I’m gonna retire my buck creek for awhile and make it my edc until further notice. Just hope it doesn’t gas my pocket and rust my keys up!! Ha!

The third blade front tang stamp says "PATENT (over) 3,317,996" The shield is NOT original to this pocket knife, which arrived without a shield. Overall, it is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is an Ambassador, one blade, one tang stamp, 1 11/16" closed (not including the ring or loop), advertising, fob or key ring, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "Ambassador (over) U.S.A." The main handle side says "KOSEL'S TAVERN - 247 Washington Ave., CArteret 1-9680" Overall, it is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

I have a couple of the Ambassador knives Skip, and they can be a lot better knives than people often realize. They are made by Colonial to be an inexpensive gift for advertising, but they have good steel in them!
I carried one for quite a while and used it harf, but it held up just fine.

It is a COLONIAL, one blade, one tool (a file), two tang stamps, 3" closed, one spring, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "STAINLESS (over) COLONIAL (over) PROV. U.S.A." The tool front tang stamp says, "STAIN (over) LESS" The blade has a very crisp opening and closing snap. The tool has a soft opening and closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. I did have to clean it up a little. I took some pictures and here it is.
