Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em

Colonial Knife was incorporated in 1926 by three brothers; Antonio, Domenic, & Fredrick Paolantonio. It grew to become one of the largest pocket knife manufacturers in the US during the 1960s. The company shut down in 1998, but was back into production under the Colonial Cutlery International Corporation in 2001. Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. brand is the imported line of knives and tools while the U.S.A.- made products fall under the Colonial Knife brand.

Is it a current model?? I think it may be from the current Colonial factory...

Question, are the handles wood or smooth bone?

Thanks for looking ,

I'm thinking it's probably older than the 80's because of the little church key knife on the left, used to open cans before pull tabs. Of course they could have made them even after that time period. ::shrug::

I posted this in the mail call thread, but I so rarely have a Colonial I'm going to use this chance to post here as well! Anyone know a date range?

Never would have known this was a knife if I hadn't picked it up. Two 1' blades, both stamped "Ambassador". Made by Colonial. Neat little oddity. Does anyone have a DUNNIGANS at 2801 Elliot Street in your town? J.O.

So far, I havr not been able to find out any kind of info on this knife. Ive tried to get confirmation that Colonial do, in fact, make it or if it was a modified/homemade kimd of deal. Love the looks of it though.

It seems to me a similar knife has been posted on AAPK in the past.
I will look in my copy of Bob Palantonio's book to see if it is there.
