Tungsten..Heavy metal lovers only...

The company shut down in 1998, but was back into production under the Colonial Cutlery International Corporation in 2001. Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. brand is the imported line of knives and tools while the U.S.A.- made products fall under the Colonial Knife brand.

Tungsten..Heavy metal lovers only...

Post by Bonfire bob »

My Christmas gift came early my friends and I want to share it with you; tomorrow I will add a photo...TUNGSTEN...the newest, hottest metal known to man!!
Here are the claims : 4 times harder than Titanium..71% more dense than lead...
And diamond drilling, cutting, and finishing tools are required....
Apparently, they need a diamond paste just to polish this material!!
Well, this material is on my finger in a ring form, with a gold inlay chain design around
it! The finish on this jewel is like none I've ever seen. A brilliant cold black finish with beveled edges! OMG, thank you Joann! xoxo ::ds::

Thank you sir! Yes my wife spoil's me! That's ok, I do my best to do the same. I've actually tried to run a sharp serrated blade over it with substaintial pressure, and it was like trying to rub a stick on thick glass!! It's incredibly heavy and the finish is flawless!
I would love to see how they make stuff like this.. ::hmm::
Good ole' Joe K. worked plenty with big equipment and CNC machines and I wonder if lazer's
are used, but "Stauer" claims only diamond tools and polish are used to make these rings...
Anyone out there who's familiar with Tunsten jewelry production, we'd love to hear from you!
These fixed blade beautie's have been bought at Medieval fair's and other such areas...
The handmade leather sheath's that go with each one incredible! ::drool::
