All About Pocket Knives

Here is a Kershaw I have not seen before, even though it has been discontinued.
Made in USA and called a Field Knife. I also picked up a NIB Needs Work had had been a display. Here is a Shallot, the Leeks big brother! More coming later...

Nice variety of Kershaws, Dale. IMO, Kershaw makes some very fine, high quality knives. Here are a few more of mine. I'm thinking that one of the rosewood Wild Turkeys would look very nice with a stag handle...either something light like the new Case Vintage stag, or something darker like Queen's Amber Cut Stag Bone...or perhaps something gnarly and colorful like you put on that customized WT with the Marine Corps emblem shield that you modified for Phillip (treefarmer).

I don't know the correct model number for the 3-blade slip joint but I purchased it in late 1976. Since it is little large and heavy for convenient pocket carry, I really never carried or used it .so it remained in mint condition . I stored it with my other stuff when I moved to a different state in 1995 and forgot about it. Long story short..my Father had found the knife in my stuff and took it to use for his own ...Pop used a knife for whatever needed doing, scraping, prying, screwdriver,burnisher, hammer and even cutting. His sharpening technique left much to be desired and usually resulted in lots of metal being ground before an edge was created. The knife was a bear-trap when new but the springs have weakened considerably now. the matching money clip is a mystery found in my father's random collection..don't know how he aquired it...don't know what year it is but it seems to be from the same era and series..

That poor thing sure has had a hurtin' put on it.

Your three bladed knife is the #2060, it's of course called the stockman and it's from the Easy Rider series. The earliest evidence I have of when these were manufactured was magazine ads from 1976 showing among others the #2060.

There are two variations of the rounded money clip, there's also a squared one, the 2005 as a knife blade and scissor and the 2006 as knife blade in the file/screwdriver/caplifter blade. Personally, they are my go to money clips. The earliest catalog information I have on there is from 1984.

I hadn't seen anyone post this Kershaw yet, and since no one has posted in this thread for over 2 years here goes! It's an Al Mar designed Kershaw 7 1/2" oal AM-5 framelock/8Cr13MoV black-coated drop-point blade with single flipper, black grained aluminum covers, adjustable pivot, and removeable pocket-clip. I love how clean this knife looks when it's open, with the blade flowing into the handle, the single flipper hidden, and the finger choils clearly visible. Nice knife!

This got this Kershaw 4200 Big Joe for Christmas.

Thanks, Mark. It reminds me of a Zero Tolerance design. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever come to a ZT.
