Guys I have a 4150 in a presentation box that was given to me as a leaving gift when I left a job in 1974
Which makes it a very early (first year) production knife.
I'm very certain of the year (1974) becasue I'd moved from New Zealand to Australia in July 1973, got a job, worked for a year then left to tour the country in 74.
Some knife Companies changed their tang stamps at various times, did Kershaw have any clues in their tang stamps - style, design, font that confirms the date? The presentaion box is also the only one I have ever seen.
