Kershaw Flippers

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

Kershaw Flippers

Post by Rich53 »

Hi, everyone.

Kershaw has discontinued their flipper designs. Head over to bladehq.com for the sales. I got a great price on a Kershaw Adamant.

I just got this Kershaw "Noventa" which is new for 2022, and in the description it states it has the NEW hidden flipper, is that perhaps what you're referring to Rich? It's hard to see in my pictures,(the old double-click will help)but the flipper is a tiny extension off the front end and is only accessible when the blade is closed. These are nice knives, not inexpensive but nice! 8)

Is this what you are referring to?

https://morethanjustsurviving.com/kersh ... -flippers/

Look at the date that article was posted. April 2nd 2015. April 2nd...as in...the day after April fools day.

It's definitely an April Fooler. If you read past the article down to the comments the writer admits to it being an A/F joke, and offers a link to the photoshopped pictures. They had to fess-up quickly due to many irate calls and emails asking WTF! Ha ha ha! ::facepalm:: 8)
