SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON

The first Robeson knives were imported by Millard Robeson from England and Germany exclusively. This continued from 1979 until 1896 when Robeson began manufacturing knives in the United States. Since inception, the company has gone through several reorganizations & eventually ended up as a Queen Cutlery brand.

Did not, but I bought one off Ebay while I was in Dalton.

A 4 1'4" 037 cigar jack. Decent, not great.

Beautiful knives, Charlie.
I picked up this one this afternoon. #622501. I didn't notice how many scratches were on the blades until I took these pics. Need glasses

Thank you, Charlie. My Robeson collection is tiny, but growing. And they all will fit in the pocket nicely.
I looked for a Terrier knife this weekend at a Tupelo show, but no luck.

Good Terriers are hard to come by. I've been looking for them since about 1990 and I only have twenty-five. That averages out to a little better than one knife per year.

And most came off Ebay, even the mint ones.

I need help to identify this knife, I have found a few jack knives with the spear point blade and the pin blade that are 026 models like this one but I can't find them in a mother of pearl I'm trying to find out the value of this knife please help. Robeson shuredge (script) USA has the five digit pattern number 72226 which if i done my research and I'm correct would be 722026

Welcome to AAPK!!

Robeson's 026 pattern jack is a fairly common knife and one they continued to make after WWII and at least until 1959 or 60.

I have never seen one in pearl, but I'm not surprised they made them.

An older, pre-WWII 026 sold on Ebay last week for $101.00 and although it looks great with beautiful bone handles, I think somebody cleaned it up using abrasives, etc. Link here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Old-Vintage-Ro ... 7675.l2557

Your knife is old, pre-WWII and in original condition and has pearl handles. But, no shield.

I'm thinking $150 - $175.

Nice find.

We see a good many pearl handled knives in unused condition.

They seemed to just have been put away or never left the store until gathered up by collectors and dealers in the late 60's and 70's.
