Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Very nice Roger.
They also made that as a whittler.
I used to have one, but traded it to someone for a Terrier Jack.
Never had the two blade version.
They are an elegant little pattern.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
My first Robeson.
This is on the way from the store here, and is a model I've been looking at for awhile, as I love old multifunction knives. It's not one that is often seen. I've seen stupid prices, as high as $120 or more for these on eBay. It was, about two hours ago, $60 (and even then, I felt it was a good price), and when it came down to $40 w/free shipping, I got it immediately. This is such an unusual pattern. Kinda like a TL-29, but adds a leather punch/awl.
And a question about the form of ivory celluloid they used. Does it outgas?

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Nice knife.
Robeson made this advertising knife for several different companies, most frequently seen are MOORE OIL CO.
An early one will have a PRESTO-LITE key in the screw-driver/wire-stripping blade.
I have seen two with bone handles, but they were for sale by the same dealer at a knife show. Pretty sure both had been rehandled.
And $120.00 and up for a nice one is not out of line.

Very sweet and desirable knife.
Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
I received these two from Mr. Charlie Noyes (Thanks Charlie).
A 62629 that I sharpened up and have been carrying. Very sharp.
The other is a 622151 in beautiful strawberry bone.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
These 2 are not exactly 'new' to me but i just came across them while sorting through my 'old USA knives'. 3 3/4" 2 blade jack, 622634 ? with saber ground master blade, and 3 1/2" 2 blade jack with Washington bolsters and etch "Hickory Whittler".
Hickory is quite a hard wood so i think this name was chosen to imply it is a strong knife able to cut even the hardest wood.
Both have been used but they are still very fine & attractive knives.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
I just purchased this beauty along with several others from the Tom kalcevic collection. It is actually on page 30 of his book. I love that the red is still preserved around the pocketeze and the pinched bolsters I would love to see a thread about others who have obtained some of his collection. I am also new to this forum and terrible with technology so if I have done anything in error regarding this post I apologize. Kevin
