SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Chris, I'm with you on that Hobo. They always fascinate me.
And Joe that Hawkbill is also appealing. Don't use one very often but I just like their looks.

Robeson's 026 pattern jack is a fairly common knife and one they continued to make after WWII and at least until 1959 or 60.
I have never seen one in pearl, but I'm not surprised they made them.
An older, pre-WWII 026 sold on Ebay last week for $101.00 and although it looks great with beautiful bone handles, I think somebody cleaned it up using abrasives, etc. Link here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Old-Vintage-Ro ... 7675.l2557
Your knife is old, pre-WWII and in original condition and has pearl handles. But, no shield.
I'm thinking $150 - $175.
Nice find.

Thank you charlie and i got it cheap, i fell in love with it at first sight

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
We see a good many pearl handled knives in unused condition.
They seemed to just have been put away or never left the store until gathered up by collectors and dealers in the late 60's and 70's.

Don't know anything BWT except that sure has some pretty bone on it. Blades look to be mostly full too. Great find. Thanks for showing.

Thanks LD, I really like the bone also, plus I don't come across many old Robensons. Thanks again for looking.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Hi! I know this isn't a folding knife, but it's a Robeson and seems to be pretty hard to find. I got this in a lot of vintage butcher knives and it was so clean I just stuck it straight in a drawer. Lately I've had lots of business for cooking knives and the like, I thought I'd do some research. After learning lots, I still can't find another just like this one. I believe it was made in the 1970's, but am not positive. It is marked Robeson Shuredge Frozen heat ☆ 444. I have seen frozen heat slicing knives, 456 I believe, but no other model 444 period. This thing is in great shape for its age, just some light swirling on the blade etc. The handle looks new and is rock solid, the blade is shiny and sharp! I know this think would kick butt in the kitchen for somebody, but I hate to sell with such little info. If anybody has any info on this line, it would be much appreciated! If nothing else, enjoy this beautiful Robison kitchen cutlery! I've certainly enjoyed the pics I've seen!

Here’s a real stunner I just picked up. I love the Eureka pattern and the blade configuration on this one. Very cool punch blade patented 5-25. Pattern number 633717. The pocketeze shield is fabulous. Can’t find in any of my books. Just a nice 1930ish Robbie. Let me hear your opinions/commnts.

3 1/2" & under = Junior Cattle knife, over 3 1/2" = Cattle knife.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
The reproduction catalog that David Clark published does not illustrate this knife.
It does show a very similar pattern at 3 3/8". The number is 497 and it's shown as both a two blade and a three blade, but the spey is replaced by a sheepfoot.
Beautiful knife.
I used to own one of these, but it has been sold.
I have always thought that particular PocketEze shield an indicator of age, i.e. older than the oval shield.

That is a very nice knife and just one of the reasons why Robeson knives always stand out among others.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Knfcollector, here is the younger brother or son of your Robeson PocketEze Eureka Pattern based on the shield design Charlie mentioned. It is pattern number 632717. Same pattern numbers 717. The third number “2” indicates brass lining and nickel silver bolsters. Your third number “3” indicates yours has steel lining and bolsters. That earlier? shield really makes yours very unique. I have a PocketEze Jack with this same shield! Anyway, beautiful PocketEze you were fortunate to find

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Just got this one a few days ago. Would love to know what these handles are. It is stamped Robeson over ShurEdge (in script and underlined) over U.S.A. The pattern number is either C22056 or 622056. It really looks more like 622056 but that seems to make no sense. I'm just not sure and was told to get the opinion of you guys. What can you tell me about this rascal?
Thanks for looking!
