Re: Mastercraft
Here's the knife, Charlie, and believe it or not I still have the PM. Like I posted though, it's made by Queen not Robeson, and I think that's why you were selling it.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Charlie, the main blade has a little issue.RobesonsRme.com wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 8:06 pm I like the OP knife.
Looks hefty.
Do the blades open and close in a smooth manner.
Assuming I am the “Charlie” referred to above, I do not think I have ever owned nor sold a Queen made MasterCraft knife.

The secondary is fine.

Re: Mastercraft
By the way, that Peanut has three distinct stops, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 on the main blade. Never seen that before ??? Anybody ? J.O'.
Re: Mastercraft
Robeson Mastercraft knives had a bronze bearing on the tang of the blade. Some of these fell off resulting in the 3 stops.Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 9:38 pm By the way, that Peanut has three distinct stops, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 on the main blade. Never seen that before ??? Anybody ? J.O'.
Robeson changed to Permalube, putting the bronze bearing on the spring.
There is a thread on here somewhere where Charlie explains this much better.

Re: Mastercraft
Thanks EDGE. The tang appears to have 3 "flats" ground along its edge, I get the use of half stops, especially on opposite pens on a single spring, but I'm puzzled by 1/4 and 3/4 open positions . Great for photos though.
Have a good Thanksgiving! J.O'.

Re: Mastercraft
Like he said above, your knife has lost its bronze bearing, leaving the tree little dovetail indentions that held it in place to catch on the backspring, resulting in the three stops you described.
It’s abnormal. The knife was not manufactured to have three stops, but to open smoothly on the now missing bronze bearing.
