Re: Spyderco Mariner? Rescue? Authentic?
I don't see a maker's mark, so this one is likely pre-2000. "Seki-City," with the hyphen, looks like a good sign. I couldn't make out the stamp on the other side of the tang. According to the Spydie Wiki's Mariner page, all Mariners have stainless steel handles. I believe the blade is authentic Spyderco, and the handles indicate it's a model other than the Mariner. Beyond that, others are better qualified than I to provide information.

This is an authentic Rescue.
I'm not very familiar with the Mariner model, but the ones that I have seen had stainless steel handles.

Mine is different in 2 ways:
Mine has draining area on handle, and the lockback plunge doesn't have a curve in it like all the other ones (and yours) have.

The Rescue didn't have draining feature.TripleF wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 12:04 am

Sorry Scott, I don't know if yours is legit or not, I haven't seen a Mariner with plastic handles, but I can't say they didn't make them.
I also believe it would have Mariner etched on blade.
