In 1939 Joseph Gerber (advertising agency owner) had custom knife maker David Murphy make 24 sets of carving knife for some of his select customers. Catalog retailer Abercrombie & Fitch saw them and was so impressed with the quality of the knives they wanted to sell them. Thus was born Gerber Legendary Blades.

My Gerber knives consist of a folding, grey, razor knife. I have had it for several yrs. and still hardly used. These are also hardly used and I, really mean, never used. The hatchet knife is quite solid, although internet reports may differ.

I dont have the saw but I do have the hatchet knife combo. I have used mine when camping. Cutting kindling and tender. Works good for me.
I like mine!
