Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Nice! I have a newer version made by Utica for Revere Survival Products. It's actually a pretty handy combo.

Nice group of Camillus knives. ::tu::
The 99 is a great knife . The steel holds a great cutting edge . And with the brew pubs going retro with there beer bottles the bottle opener is making a come back ! So hold onto all your knives with openers on them maybe they’ll make a comeback .
Take care over there ::handshake::

I thought so too, anyhow picked this up last week and I don’t know anything about it. It is a 4 line, feels like a hard plastic or plastag or a celluloid , it is 3 3/8 in long closed. Any info I would appreciate it

Very recently, this pocket knife arrived and it now becomes the latest example to join this topic or thread and to join my general CAMILLUS pocket knife collection. It came in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I was very happy to find it, but I did not buy the group or lot for this particular pocket knife. It is a CAMILLUS, one blade, one blade/tool, one tang stamp (double line), 3 3/4" closed (not including the bail), electrician or linesman pattern or style of pocket knife. The tang stamp reads "CAMILLUS (over) New York (over) U.S.A." Both the blade and the blade/tool have great half stops and both have a VERY WICKED opening and closing snap. It is in VERY GOOD condition. It did require some very light cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Thanks Ripster. I have had them a long time. I’ve seen where the circuit board one is up to a $250-$300 asking price. I gave about $ 20 new when I bought it years ago. Camillus has always been one of my favorite knives.

Added a Camillus 10 long line Barlow this week, goes along with the Camillus 50 I already had. The 10 is larger and beefier than the 50, these are probably early long lines as they are in bone, most of the long lines are delrin.

2 Beauties indeed !
John you have a couple great pieces. The 10 became the 50 if I remember correctly. And you have both in a long line stamp and model numbers on pile side main . And in Bone . Very nicely done Sir . ::handshake::
The 10 and 50 that I’ve managed to snag aren’t near as nice . One is short line and other is long line .
Thanks for posting those ::tu::

David, JP, thank you.

JP, I'm pretty sure the 10 was a carryover from the 4 line Tip Top barlows, they are exactly the same size, I'll have to check my Tip Tops and see if any are marked with a 10 but I don't think they are. I'm thinking sometime in the 1950's Camillus dropped the 10 frame and from then on only had the 50.
