Not Playing With A Full Deck.....

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

A recent trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes the latest "card" to be posted under this topic or thread and to be added to the "deck." It is a WESTERN, Queen Of Hearts, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed, lockback, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "WESTERN (over) U.S.A." It is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Yesterday afternoon, my visit to the post office produced this key ring, lobster pattern or style of pocket knife. It now becomes my latest "card", although not part of the regular "deck", to be posted under this topic or thread. It is a CAMILLUS, Queen Of Hearts, one blade, two tools (a file and scissors), a blade etch, one tang stamp, 1/2" x 2 1/4" closed (not including the loop or ring), lobster pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade etch says "Harrah's" The main blade front tang stamp says "CAMILLUS (over) New York (over) U.S.A." This pocket knife came with a felt storage pouch and a box. The pouch says "Harrah's - LAS VEGAS" This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Just catching up on the thread since I've gotten back. As usual Skip, you are posting some awesome finds.

I'm going to post a photo of something I came across earlier this year. The knife is a Western, but the guy I bought it from had an unopened deck of the Western playing cards he threw in with the knife. Now I guess I need to work on finding the other Western Gambler Series knives.

No, I did NOT acquire these.
Besides all of the five pocket knives already being RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED,
what makes the Ten and the Queen worth $12 more than the others? ::shrug::
They are NOT any more rare or any more common than the other three "cards."
That is, as far as the WESTERN tang stamped "card" pocket knives are concerned.
As far as the CAMILLUS tang stamped "card" pocket knives are concerned, yes, a
few are less common and harder to find than the others. But still..... ::rotflol::
