Camillus 4-Line 4-Blade Camp/Scout Transformation

Post by herbva »

This 1930's-40's Cammy camping or scout knife had been sitting in my "on-deck" box for I don't know how long with a missing scale on one side and it looked like the scale on the other side had turned into a prune. I knew that if it sat there long enough, something would come to me. But nothing came, that is until Glenn (Glennbad) posted his wonderful transformation of a Bruckner camp knife into a "Drover" style 2-blade a couple of weeks ago. (Glenn, I really hope that you don't mind my copying your idea.) I thought that this one was more deserving of OD micarta than stag. Also, this one had that sort of flat end punch that I've never understood, so I reshaped it into a nice sharp, pointy punch that you can actually do something with...

Herb, I've always been a sucker for punch knives, nice one! Love the thin handle covers too!

Nice job Herb! ::tu::
That is a great improvement over the Shrinky Dink plastic handles that those came with originally! That had a post World War II, pre- Delrin plastic handle that was not very stable.
That micarta handle should outlast the knife itself! Great improvement! 👍
