Knife date

Is there anyway to tell if one is closer to 1940. This one doesn’t have a pattern number

IMHO it’s post WWII to 1964. I don’t think charts that say 1940 are correct - I’ve seen many knives made for WWII military use that have Tested XX stamps. JMO
