Thanks redrider, guarddogg, and dogleg. I think I have around 85 Bulldogs and there is not a 'dog" in the bunch. Given their quality I think they are a very great value in the world of knives.

I honestly have no idea what I have… if someone could provide me with some info on it I would be very grateful…

Also wondering what that hole on the base is used for… I assume it’s to attach it to a belt/vest, but it just feel like a wrong answer…

Thanks for asking about this Benchmade. It is a new design that was released last week. Blade is only about 2 1/2'. The handles are aluminum. The blade is M4 steel. My local store had all three of the different handle colors. The knife name is Full Immunity and the price made me pause. However, after handling it, I knew I had to have it.

Need to get another one of those. Got both the hawkbill and older coping blade variant in a used lot--gave away the hawkbill one. I really like this combo for most tasks I do around here, as I don't have to carry a hawkbill AND a TL-29.

Klein stopped contracting Utica to make these--all the brown-handle ones are made in China now. They are easily recognizable by the steel lock release (not brass as on pretty much every Utica Klein I own from 1975-2020. I got the two-blade right before things were moved overseas in '21.

PS: I emailed Utica and asked who they were still making these for. Utica told me they're still making them for Proto. It's the J18535 through them (standard TL-29 format is J18500). However, I bet it ain't cheap. I once asked Fastenal what the price was if they specially ordered the Proto version of the ubiquitous Klein hawkbill--$50 when the going price for the Klein was $30! I'm purchasing my first 1/2" ratchet soon, and I need to check to see what the local mine supply (my nearest Proto dealer) asks. Hopefully, they're cheaper.

My pocket carry for today is a Buck 842 Sprint. It features black Cerekote on the steel, brown canvas micarta on the scales, and an S35VN blade. This knife may have been from the BOTM program. It is not the Sprint Ops Pro (I did splurge and got one of the Ops Pros with carbon fiber scales for my son)

While I'm not big on liner locks, this one has a nice flipping action and can be closed....carefully....with one hand.
