:x Sounds like more examples of what a racist and oppressive country we live in :x :x That is a classic example of "cultural appropriation" :x ::td::

cultural appropriation:
the adoption, usually without acknowledgment, of cultural identity markers from subcultures or minority communities into mainstream culture by people with a relatively privileged status.

Today's haul. The Macallan is my all time favorite and the Old Forester 1920 is very good too.

Nice old JD legacy bottle.
I collect old JD stuff, and have been a Squire for 41 years.

I live 22 miles from the distillery.

Railsplitter wrote: Sat Jun 10, 2023 1:31 am Having some of the Bardstown Bourbon tonight. Might follow it up with a smidgen of the Elijah Craig Barrel Select but not sure yet. Those olives are HOT. I ate one and it was so hot that it made me check the ingredients. The last thing on the list is "Ghost Chili Peppers".
Great pics buddy !! ...I love Taylorsville Lake , been there many of times . Man I do remember when the Heavan Hills had there big fire, I forgot how many barrels and buildings were destroyed, all they could do is let it burn. Isn't Bardstown a beautiful little town ?

Yes, we enjoyed Bardstown a lot. The tour of the Bardstown Distillery was particularly enjoyable. They really had their stuff together. They gave us samples of their original batch which they are calling The Origin Series. It wasn't quite ready yet because they wanted to let it age 6 years. It should be coming out very soon though unless it already has and I missed it. It was really good and I want to get myself a bottle of it.

Was wiping down some knives and getting together some for photos that I picked up while I was away, so decided to add a little warmth to the task.

Kimzilla wrote: Sat Aug 19, 2023 6:25 am Not so sure that you caught that from the ditch. Country kids get so bored and the parents don't really wonder what they're up to as there isn't much to do. That's the problem....with nothing to do kids find very outlandish and unsafe things to do. Myself included.
Yep, got your drift and been down that road. Just thought I would find you a book to read. ::woot::
