The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Pulled out this XX 2231-1/2 SAB today. She's been in her display case for a couple years. Just felt like taking her for a stroll. Nice thick saber ground main and black composition scales that are as tight-fitting as new. :) J.O'.

I'm certainly no expert, but it looks similar to a 'Cigar' knife with the exception of that awl.

Great knives everyone!

There is never something other than CASE in my pocket. Old school everyday. Always a 65 Hunter at least one other smaller pattern. Love the skinning blade. I find that blade to be most used for me.

Big fan of carbon steel for a edge.

Thanks Phillip! You're old school like myself.

Those two were pulled from the collection as carries. They were stone mint when I did so. Life is too short...

The hunter's patina is all honest. Food prep (my primary kitchen knife), food meal knife, precision cutting, general duties at work. I use my knives alot daily.

Getting interesting looks when the hunter comes out at the restaurant or diner. Don't hand me a crappy knife that can't cut my meal.

Pulled out a 2231SAB in Mexico many times. They tripped out.
And a 6216 Red bone that traveled the world as well. That went to 313mike. That knife took an edge for sure. Razor.
