Forgotten war knife

Post by hellize »

Hello,

This forgotten war knife is 28 cm / 11 inches long. It has a 15.5 cm / 6 inches long edge.
It is a san mai damascus which I hand forged of 5160, L6 and 1.2516 steels.
The handle is made of damascus steel, fossilized oak and bone.
The sheath is hand sewn of thick cowhide.

Bittersweet victory

Where nine rivers were passing through,
where suffering was sweet and true,
where precious blood soaked the earth,
where a thousand deeds were unlearnt.
A horn cried on the castle's cape,
a warrior stood proud in crepe.
The black silk mourned instead of him,
the lonely glory brought no vim.

Another fantastic knife. I like how nicely all the different handle materials came together!

Thank you! :)
I wanted to play around a bit with what I had at hand. Needed the thrill of experimentation :D Glad you like the result.

Very nice. Love the leather too!
