Active shooter in Minnesota

Post by djknife13 »

My son Jason called a few minutes ago to tell me he and his wife Melody are OK and to turn on my computer. There was an active shooter a few blocks from his home and across the street from one of our grand-daughter's apartment building. She just called my wife and said she in hiding in her closet. Our local TV station just announced that the police just found the shooter dead behind the motel where the shooting took place. An unspecified number have been shot and they aren't releasing or don't yet know how many are injured and if any are dead. Please pray for those injured and pray none have passes away from their injuries.____Dave

This morning, it appears two people were killed and then the shooter killed himself. The entire city was ordered shelter in place. One of the motel workers where the shooting took place was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, but the media isn't even mentioning that. My granddaughter who had worked at the motel called a friend who she knew was working last night and she told my granddaughter that the worker was taken to the hospital and that her father had let them know she was being treated and is OK. The local media is barely even mentioning the whole incident this morning, so it appears, although two people and the shooter are dead, it was likely a murder-suicide that looked at first like another nut case with a gun going on a rampage. Last night they were reporting 4 dead which wasn't true, and the whole incident only lasted a couple minutes and the confusion lasted a few hours. My granddaughter still isn't sure she wants to leave her closet. her husband is out of town working.____Dave

This is a very common thing anymore, an individual decides to take their own life, but before they do they are going to settle a grudge or just shoot some random people. Same scenario I was involved with last summer. Fortunately for me the individual only took his own life.

the two that were killed were our granddaughter's friend who was working at the motel desk and another guy sitting in his car in the parking lot, and then the shooter killed himself. No one has a clue what set the guy off. _____Dave
