"Diecast Collecting"

Here is another Ferrari; not a diecast but a collaboration(one of several) with Ferrari and LEGO. Made of special LEGO pieces, it features working steering & differential and a 12 cylinder engine with a transparent block to show the revolving crankshaft & moving pistons.

Cool! Those should be very collectable in my opinion.

Picked up one that every "Die Hard" ""Diecast Collector" needs.

Of course I don't really quallify for that catagory at all with my 20 or so Hot Wheels but it's a cool addition to my humble collection.

Tonka Scramblers Bell System Pickup. Best I can tell, it was produced in 1981. I think it may have been a Bell promo, as it was paired with an ERTL Chevy Citation that was known to be a Bell promo. I also have noted that none of the Scramblers Bell System models showed up in the carded assortments released that year.

Scramblers were made in the USA, and are roughly 4" long. The cab and chassis plate are steel, while the remaining parts are plastic. Well made little truck though.

Just ordered this one from a Japanese seller off eBay for $5 shipped--Tomica's 1:300 model of a Hitachi EX8000 mining shovel.

Now comes the wait. Chances are, it will be the cheap, non-tracked method. eBay says the 20th, but it's a crapshoot. I've had it be as little as ten days, but as much as six weeks plus from Japan.

About the only heavy mining shovel you won't be paying out the nose for. I have the second-gen 3500AC-II mining truck (which Tomica recently retired and replaced with the third-gen). It's fit-the-box also--but also a much larger scale due to being smaller than the shovel.

Needs cleaned up a little bit but not bad, no scratches - 25-cents at a garage sale today. Racing Champions brand.

Cruisin' through an antique shop looking for knives l came across this. 1946 Ford supposedly the first model made by AMT that originally stood for ALUMINUM MODEL TOYS . It was changed to AUTHENTIC MODEL TOYS when they started making them from plastic. Not a bad deal for 35 bucks.
