Shenandoah show this Friday and Saturday
I'm late getting this posted. Shenandoah knife show this weekend, Friday 12-7 PM, Saturday 9-5. This is at the Rockingham Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA. Pretty big show with 200+ 8' tables of knives and related stuff. I'll be set up with Barry in the first room, stop by and say hello!.

We plan on being there. Hopefully beside your table like last year so I can try to soak up little of your knife knowledge!

Herb and I will definitely be there, shooting for 9:00 on Saturday.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Would love to go to this show again but now I’m 6+ hours away and that’s just a tad more than I’m willing to drive at this point - fare thee well!

I've only been once, but it is one of my favorite shows I have ever attended. Unfortunately I won't make it this year. Hopefully I can for 2025.

My teenage son and I are going tomorrow. We've been every year since 2018 (COVID cancellations notwithstanding). He's been saving his pennies to look for a couple things, like a Buck 722 Spitfire.
Looking forward to it!

Re: Shenandoah show this Friday and Saturday
Had a great time meeting up with Barry, Gene, Guy, Plumb Bob and some other AAPK members. Also bought a Catalina Wine Mixer Old Man Jack from Ryan Daniels, who showed Herb and I some prototypes they're working on including a Farmer's Jack (I hope Lyle sees this
).
I bought this Sterling Knife Co. New York small Cattleman off of Barry because it's an interesting little knife. Weighing in at 2 7/8", it was originally stamped as a Hammer Brand, then that was ground off and it was re-stamped as a Sterling. Why?
You can still see the bottom of the Hammer Brand logo shirt sleeve.
Found two of the last 4 Boker USA Great American Story knives that I need to complete the 24 knife set. Still searching for a 1781 and 1791.
It was a fun day, glad to make it, and next year we're driving down on Friday as a lot of knives were already picked over by 9:00 Saturday morning.

Gene, for one, said he moved a bunch of fixed blades on Friday.

Great haul of some nice knives, John.
Nice to see you get some collectables you've been looking for.
I asked you in a different thread how you guys made out, guess I should have read this thread first.
Enjoy!

I sold a bunch of knives but my highlight was I got a very near to mint KA-BAR fixed blade in trade on one knife. It is an early model called Robin Hood and this one has that etched out on the blade. Rare and beautiful knife, made my show.bestgear wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 11:56 amI wonder if any AAPK’ers scored?1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 11:40 pm….next year we're driving down on Friday as a lot of knives were already picked over by 9:00 Saturday morning![]()

Would you be interested in probably selling the small cattleman’s knife? I have purchased and awaiting a small OVB in celluloid the same size.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 11:40 pm Had a great time meeting up with Barry, Gene, Guy, Plumb Bob and some other AAPK members. Thanks for your interest, but I don't sell knives. I don't want seller's remorse.

You’re welcome and I totally understand the remorse feeling.I unfortunately have to sell more than I buy to buy something different. One day I hope I can get to afford enough and buy and never sell. Thank you very much!1967redrider wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 12:10 pm
