Good Mornin', Folks.
Something has happened to our "Accurite thermometer", it still is showing 92 degrees this morning. Changed all the batteries, two in the outside sending unit and three in the monitor inside, still showing 92 with a "feel like" temperature of 101. ::shrug:: It's been on the wall for a number of years, probably time for a new one. All that to say, according to the Tri-County Airport weather site, it's 65 this morning and there are no clouds in the sky. :)
Our daughter asked if we had seen the tree down across the driveway? No, we hadn't. It must have fell in the late afternoon, no wind but a dead oak tree is across the drive and the top has crushed a big Azalea bush. It broke in several pieces that I'll need the tractor to move.
Got the mowing done around the place yesterday and even mowed around the deer feeder. Had to trailer the mower to the feeder, still too many water/wet spots to drive the mower without bogging it down.
Miss Joy just announced the coffee is ready! Lets go restart the morning and hope the old tractor will start after breakfast.
Have a good Saturday!

Good morning. Looks to be a decent day ahead. We have a Grad party to attend either today or tomorrow. I can't keep them straight but Jane knows so I don't have to. The kids should be on their way home by now from vacation so our quiet house to ourselves will be over soon. Hope you all have a great weekend. _______Dave

Later this morning will be heading out to spend a long weekend with daughter and family. Youngest granddaughter graduated 8th grade earlier and today was the best time for a friends and family get together. Will be lots of smoked meats and plenty of adult beverages. Weather permitting, outdoor games like bags.
Then Tuesday I fly to North Carolina for a week visit with my special guy friend
Grandson here has been instructed on watering my plants and keeping the birds fed.
So it is On the Road Again!

Durham. We met on a Smith & Wesson online forum. We are polar opposites in many ways, needless to say we have some interesting conversations! But we do agree that the US is a political mess.

nice area, I'm about 3 hours southeast of Durham. I hope you have great travel weather and have the opportunity to stop a SMKW if you are going through Sevierville. Enjoy your time away ::tu::

Being a political mess is not restricted to the US, it is a world wide trend in all Western Countries. :x :x :x

Good Mornin'!
Scott, don't know about the "rise and shine" this morning, been sick as a dog since yesterday afternoon. Much better now, must have been a 24 hour bug of some sort. Hope you have a successful flea market excursion. Normally I'd be getting ready for church about this time but I believe I'll lay low today, hoping this mess is not contagious.
Got the oak that was down drug off into the woods, then mowed the yard for the the family across the creek that we've been helping out. After dinner I got to feeling bad and didn't get too far from the head during the night. 1st cup is tasting okay so far.
66 degrees this morning, looks like the Thermometer has got back on track with new batteries all around. 92 was the high yesterday.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning. Church in a few hours and not much else planned for the day. yesterday we were watching a cooking show and the guy was fixing a brisket and it looked so good and easy that I went to buy one. I've never even thought of doing that in all my years. Our grocery store had one. It was huge and cost $75. I passed on cooking a whole cow. We stopped at a small store on our way home and they had some half the size for $40 so I thought I'd give it a try. It has more fat on it than the nice square all meat looking one that the guy on TV had. I asked the butcher if I should cut away some of the fat or suet looking stuff and he said he would. I need to look in some cook books before I throw away $40. Have a good Sunday.____Dave

Good Monday Mornin'!
73 degrees inside and outside here at Starvation Plantation. Didn't do anything yesterday, didn't even go outside. Feel 100% better than I did Saturday afternoon, evening and early Sunday morning! Hopefully it was a 24-hour bug. ::shrug::
Got the coffee pot going and it sounds like it is about done.
Y'all enjoy the day. ::tu::

Good morning. Looks to be another nice day for us up here. VBS this morning and I gt to tell the Bible story. We are having it once a week on Mondays instead of a full week this year. I haven't been involved with this before because I was always working. Now I get to choose a little more as to what's in my life. Jason will be back in a day or two so I'll be working some again. I sure felt good to sit back a relax some this past week. I've got lots of pittling done around the yard and even figured out how to make a slow cooked brisket. Not that it was hard or anything, but it did take 10 or 11 hours to get tender. I think I needed to start out with a little smaller one. Have a great week.____Dave

Morning folks, 60 maybe upper 70's after while.
Beautiful sunny day to start.
Critters are fed and the dishes warshed and put away. Wampus wuz his normal hissy self.
Farmer glad you are feeling better.
Had a momma and 8 chick's this morning, the boss said they are back but I'm of the opinion that it's a different bunch.
Gonna piddle around and try a get some roundup down and some other yard work done today, we'll see. Let's get a fresh cuppa joe out of the second pot and see if it's as tasty as the first and ponder on it a bit.
Dave you slipped in while I was hunting and pecking, I believe you may start liking a little slower lifestyle.

Mornin' Y'all

Got a good bit done yestiddy ... weedeat the hill by the road (first time this season), rode for 1.5 hours and cut the rest of the grass, then plugged a flat tire on the old Yukon. Whew ! Still wasn't everything I needed to do.

Have an appoint. at the dealer for the car's 15k service this morning, then back home to do laundry and
start packing bags for the impending vacation .... Have I mentioned that I hate packing and the logistics of travel ?
::doh::

Yawl be safe
Chris
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Good Morning Everyone!
Spring weather has set in, today will be a high of 81 and scattered thunderstorms.
I have a video call with my primary care doctor this morning and he will most likely
send me into town for some blood tests and chest x-rays in the next couple of days.
That's my day, look for some more of my woodburning art here or my online gallery.
Have a blessed day and be safe.... :D

Good Mornin', Diners.
Usually we would be at men's prayer meeting but I have 2 appointments in Panama City this morning.Time for left shoulder shot and a follow up with the Cardiologist hopefully clearing me for my knee surgery that was supposed to have been in March.
Clear skies and 73 this morning, 92 was yesterday's high. I washed out the shop refrigerator yesterday, that had a bunch of deer antlers on skull plates that should have already been cleaned up. Doing this led me to begin thawing out some venison and pork for a sausage making later in the week.
Most mornings, I check the birthday list and this morning there is one name. The last post and the age caught my attention. The name WolfSan led to an interesting 2 page reading under the thread, "oh my goodness, he has a knife". Old thread but a great read.
Coffee was good, breakfast next and then on the road to Panama.
Y'all have a good day!
