Re: Germany - Multi Tool With Glass Cutter.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

Recently, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also becomes the latest multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, to join my collection. It is a SOLINGEN, two blades, two tools (a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp (on the secondary blade), 3 5/8" closed, all metal (except for the two "tortoise" handle scales), multi tool, pocket knife. It is also a cigar cutter. The secondary blade front tang stamp only says, "SOLINGEN" This is my second SOLINGEN, multi tool with glass cutter, pocket knife. But, this is my first SOLINGEN, multi tool with glass cutter pocket knife, that is this particular pattern or style. My other SOLINGEN, multi tool with glass cutter pocket knife, was previously posted, under this topic or thread, back on Monday, November 20, 2023. The main blade has no half stop, but it does have a good opening and closing snap. The secondary blade doesn't have a half stop, but it has an ok opening and closing snap. Both the corkscrew and the glass cutter open and close the way they should. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

This morning, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also becomes the latest example to be added to my collection. It is a SAXONIA, one blade, three tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener, a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed, all metal, multi tool pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "SAXONIA (over) CUTLERY Cᴏ̲ (over) GERMANY" This is my fifth SAXONIA, multi tool with glass cutter, pocket knife. However, this is only my second SAXONIA, multi tool with glass cutter pocket knife, in this particular pattern or style. ALL of my other SAXONIA, multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, have been previously posted, under and throughout, this topic or thread. The main blade has a VERY CRISP half stop, along with a VERY GOOD opening and closing snap. The blade is also VERY SHARP! The three tools ALL open and close properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. It did need a little bit of cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Very recently, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It is a GELBROS Co, one blade, three tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener, a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed, all metal (except for the two "tortoise" handle scales), multi tool, pocket knife. It is also a cigar cutter. The main blade front tang stamp says, "GELBROS Co (over) GERMANY" This is my third GELBROS Co, multi tool pocket knife with a glass cutter. My other GELBROS Co, multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, have been previously posted, under and throughout, this topic or thread (ALSO PICTURED BELOW). ALL three GELBROS Co, multi tool pocket knives with a glass cutter, are quite different from each other. NOT the actual body pattern or style, but the blades used and the tools used (BESIDES the corkscrew and the glass cutter). The main blade has a soft half stop, but it has a VERY GOOD opening and closing snap. The blade is also VERY SHARP! The three tools ALL open and close properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD+ condition. It needed to be cleaned, I cleaned what I could. I took some pictures and here it is.

This morning, my trip to the post office produced this, multi tool with glass cutter, pocket knife. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the most recent, multi tool pocket knife with a glass cutter, to be added to my collection. It is another A.W. WADSWORTH & SON, two blades, two tools (a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed, all metal, multi tool, pocket knife. It is also a cigar cutter. The main blade front tang stamp says, "A.W. (over) WADSWORTH (over) & SON (over) GERMANY" Overall, this is my sixth WADSWORTH, multi tool with a glass cutter, pocket knife. My other five WADSWORTH, multi tool pocket knives with a glass cutter, were ALL previously posted under and throughout this topic or thread. This is my first multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, in this particular pattern or style that does NOT have the two "spaces" for the two "tortoise" scales (one on each side). The body of this pocket knife, NOT the blades and the tools, seems to be of a slightly higher quality than my other multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, that are in the same pattern or style. I believe that the red paint is original with this pocket knife, but I am NOT 100% positive. The main blade has NO half stop, with NO opening or closing snap. The secondary blade also has NO half stop, along with NO opening or closing snap. The corkscrew and the glass cutter both open and close as designed. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. I did have to clean it up just a little bit. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: Germany - Multi Tool With Glass Cutter.

Post by New_Windsor_NY »

This morning, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also becomes the most recent example to be added to my multi-tool, with a glass cutter, pocket knife collection. It is a CONTENTO, one blade, four tools (a can opener, a punch or awl, a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed (not including the bail), multi-tool, all metal (now), pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "CONTENTO (over) MADE IN (over) GERMANY" This is my first CONTENTO, multi-tool with a glass cutter, pocket knife. The main blade has a soft half stop, along with no opening snap and no closing snap. The four tools, the can opener, the punch or awl, the corkscrew and the glass cutter, ALL open and close properly, as designed, with no issues. There was VERY, VERY, little left of the two handle scales. The little that was remaining, I removed. Overall, this pocket knife is still in GOOD condition. I did have to clean it up a little bit. I took some pictures and here it is.

A couple of days ago, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the most recent example to be added to my multi-tool, with a glass cutter, pocket knife collection. It is yet another MANOS, two blades, two tools (a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp (on the secondary blade), 3 5/8" closed, all metal (except for the two "tortoise" handle scales), multi tool, pocket knife. It is also a cigar cutter. The secondary blade front tang stamp says, "MANOS (over) CUTLERY Cᴏ̲ (over) GERMANY" This is my twenty-fifth MANOS, multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. My other twenty-four MANOS, multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, have ALL been previously posted, under and throughout, this topic or thread (one is missing the glass cutter tool). The main blade has a SOFT half stop, an OK opening snap and an OK closing snap. The secondary blade has a GOOD half stop, a VERY GOOD opening snap and a VERY GOOD closing snap. The corkscrew opens and closes with no issues. The glass cutter opens and closes with no issues. Overall, this pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Recently, my trip to the post office produced this multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the latest multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, to be added to my collection. It is a GELBROS Co., one blade, three tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener, a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed, all metal (except for the two "tortoise" handle scales), multi tool, pocket knife. It is also a cigar cutter. The main blade front tang stamp says, "GELBROS Co. (over) GERMANY" This is my sixth GELBROS Co., multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. My other five GELBROS Co, multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, have ALL been previously posted, under and throughout, this topic or thread. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap and the main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The three tools ALL open and close properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. I did have to give it a minor cleaning.
I took some pictures and here it is.

***** NOTE ***** NOTE ***** NOTE ***** NOTE ***** NOTE *****
The GELBROS Co. multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, that I posted back on Saturday,
February 10, 2024, was actually my FIFTH, GELBROS Co., multi tool pocket knife with a glass cutter.
In my description, I erroneously said that it was my THIRD, GELBROS Co., multi tool pocket knife with a glass cutter.

This afternoon, my visit to the post office produced this multi tool, with a glass cutter, pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also becomes the most recent example to be added to my multi-tool, with a glass cutter, pocket knife collection. It is a CONTENTO, one blade, four tools (a can opener, a punch or awl, a corkscrew and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 5/8" closed (not including the bail), multi-tool, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "CONTENTO (over) MADE IN (over) GERMANY" The main blade has a SOFT half stop. The main blade has a GOOD opening snap. The main blade has a GOOD closing snap. The four tools, the can opener, the punch or awl, the corkscrew and the glass cutter, ALL open and close properly, as designed, with no problems. This is my second CONTENTO, multi-tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. My other CONTENTO (no scales), multi-tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, was posted under this topic or thread, back on Friday, March 1, 2024. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

I’m a brand newbie here but found a similar style knife, German, marked: GARANTIE STAHL.
Bought it because of the glass cutter & the handle.

This morning, my trip to the post office produced this multi tool, with a glass cutter, pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also becomes the latest multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter, to be added to my collection. It is a BERK, one blade, two tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, one tool (glass cutter) stamp, 3 5/8" closed, multi tool, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "BERK CUTLERY Cᴏ̲ (over) NEW-YORK (over) MADE IN GERMANY" The glass cutter front stamp (VERY FAINT) is a logo, emblem or symbol (a "Flaming Pineapple"?). The bail for this pocket knife is missing. This is my fourth BERK, multi tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. My other three BERK, multi tool pocket knives, with a glass cutter, were ALL previously posted under and throughout this topic or thread. The blade does have a SOFT half stop. The blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The blade does have a GOOD closing snap. Both of the tools open, close, and function properly. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. I did have to give it a little bit of a cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

This is a follow-up to my three previous posts from November 15, 16 & 17, 2023.
It turns out that the BERK, multi-tool with glass cutter pocket knife that I posted
on Monday, July 24, 2023, ALSO has the "Flaming Pineapple" logo or symbol stamped
on the glass cutter.

The main blade front tang stamp says, "GARANTIE (over) STAHL" This is my first GARANTIE STAHL, multi-tool pocket knife, with a glass cutter. This pocket knife does have a cosmetic issue with the main handle side scale. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap.
