Queen Cutlery Collectors Inc. sponsored its first biennial Queen Show in July 1999 in Titusville PA. Queen decided to run their shows in odd years because the Case Collectors Club ran its shows in even years. Queen began offering Show Knives in limited quantities and this continued every other year with each Queen Show. In 2014 Queen Shows started running every year rather than every other year and this lasted until 2017, the year of the last Queen Show before Queen closed its doors in January 2018.
Agree ... and thanks for that info about the shows Q! Didn't know that.doglegg wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 1:57 amLovely amber bone QQTCut5 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 1:48 am Queen Tiny Toothpick Amber Bone - 2005 Show Knife

Pretty little Queen! I've been gifted several tiny toothpicks made by Case over the years and they are just too little to be useful. Love the beauty and functionality of these little jewels but.....QTCut5 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 1:48 am Queen Tiny Toothpick Amber Bone - 2005 Show Knife

Mahalo Floyd, I do love me some nice amber bone (even if it's only the regular jigged variety that's not CSB!)
My pleasure, Tony. I learned that from the guy I bought the knife from and I'm always glad when I learn something that I can share with others who will also appreciate it.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 11:33 am thanks for that info about the shows Q! Didn't know that.
100% agree on the relative uselessness of the size, Philip. Although I knew it was only 3" when I bought it, I was still a bit shocked at just how tiny it actually is in hand It looks so much bigger in pictures! But like most my knives, it's destined to remain a safe queen, never to be used, since the reason I bought it was for its uniqueness as a collector piece--specifically the double shield.treefarmer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 12:19 pm Pretty little Queen! Not being ugly, Q, just my take on little knives.

That's a fine one!
Fine indeed.
The "QUEEN CITY" block letter stamp was used approximately from 1922-1942. But you may be able to narrow the year down to a closer date if you can find what years that pattern was available.wingerac wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 7:28 pm This was my great grandfather’s knife. My dad gave it to me this summer when he found it while cleaning the basement of the farmhouse. It was in rough shape but I’ve slowly been working on getting it cleaned up. Still have a way to go but today I felt I was far enough along to toss her in the pocket.
If I am correct in my research it is an #28 English Jack 1922-1932? It’s 4-1/2 inches closed.

I’ve been remiss in looking at this thread for a while. Glad you like the folding hunter and the Doctor’s knife. Wendell Carson did some of the finest work I’ve ever seen. Both knives are beautiful.RedRaiderRick wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 4:14 am Just picked up this Wendell Carson customized Queen from SSk.
