What is it!

Post by dlr110 »

Can anyone tell me what this is and what it is intended to be used for?
The only mark is the GW on the blade and on the sheath.

Or a dedicated gut hook. Here is one made by Buck knives.

Belt cutters tend to be long and skinny to fit between a belt and a person. Gut hooks can be fatter, because there is plenty of room in a stomach cavity.

Yours is neither so it could be either belt cutter or gut hook.

The only thing you could do is track down the logo. To see if it’s more military survival, or hunting related.

Or, maybe, an emergency parachute cord cutter? ::hmm::

Thank you everyone for your response. Wade I tried Google and didn't get anything close, I guess I didn't put in the right combination of words.
Again thank you very much.... ::handshake::

Glad to help. I actually saved the pic to my phone camera roll, went to the google app and there is a camera in the corner called Google lens. Uploaded the pic to it and it did all the work. You can use your camera and take a pic of a bug or plant and it will identify it too. Scary but cool technology.

Google lens is why I can't find any more good deals in thrift stores, pawn shops and from a bunch of sellers at the flea market.... :x ..... ::disgust:: :x

Cool technology indeed. I also have an app called SoundHound that will listen to and identify songs, and an app called Merlin that listens to and identifies birds. However I’ve had better results using those than I’ve had identifying objects using Google Lens.
