Help identify approximate year of this…

The Cattaraugus Cutlery Company was started by John Champlin and his son Tint in 1882. It was first incorporated under the name J.B.F. Champlin and Son as a wholesale distribution company based in Little Valley, New York. The business proved to be a successful endeavor, and it soon branched into a knife production company named Cattaraugus.

I can’t read the stamps well but it looks like maybe Cattaraugus? If it’s an original Catt then it was made between late 1800s and WWII. From the looks of it I’d guess closer to WWII than 1900, but it looks heavily buffed. Better pictures might help. ::shrug::

I can read Catt also. Too bad someone over-buffed the
blades.

Not saying it is a 1930 knife, but it does appear in the 1930 catalog. 2149 has the sheepsfoot blade like yours. They likely made them for many years. J.O'.
