Anyone collect Watches?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Thankfully 3 years ago I started down the path of horology, and haven't looked back. Plunged right in as you would say.

My latest addition, a German/Swiss Meistersinger single hander. Day-date function.
Got it for a third of msrp.

Interesting piece. I don’t think I have ever seen a single hander before.

Looks like approximately 9:27 in the picture.

Yup, right around that when I took it.

The dial divided into 5 minute markers, so halfway will get you-2-3 minutes.

I jumped on it because this house (I.e. maker) is super unique, and it was such a good deal I couldn't pass. The cheapskate in me kicked in hard.

44 mil and 33 mil I think there is 36 mil between them.

I don’t collect them, but ended up with a few. It took me a while to find a field watch. I had a Bertucci I liked, but no rotating bezel. So i bought the Casio, a great watch for really little money. But it is too big and heavy, plus the knob at 3:00 digs into my wrist.

So I splurged and bought 2 Citizen eco drive dive watches the big one is smaller than the Casio but still big, the little one is perfect except it is hard to read the date.

This is my first Eco Drive, it was a flash sale for very cheap. So it was worth the risk. I love the dial, it’s more dressy than a field watch.

Can't go wrong with Citizen or Casio, Eveled. Great watches for the money.

I behind on this thread but lots of nice watches. The Eco Drive has been bulletproof for me, that Seiko in great and I’m jealous of the Seamaster.

Very cool, my buddy just got a new Hamilton frogman and they make a very nice watch. He also has a circa 40’s Hamilton pocket watch.

Hamilton makes some really good ones, you're right. I got this one from the original owner. He was 96 at the time. Amazing condition..
