Good Sunday Mornin', Dave and others who'll stop by for a cup.
50 degrees right now, probably drop into the high 40's again right before daylight. We got to 86 yesterday, clear and no noticeable humidity.
Got the coffee maker going so it won't be too long. :)
Worked on some tractor issues yesterday, didn't amount to much but stuff that needed doing. The yard grass has slowed it growth drastically, probably only one more cutting, maybe.
Church this morning in a few hours, Miss Joy said last evening we need to finish the pot of chili for dinner today. Makes a quick fix and a long afternoon nap.
Halfway watched several SEC football games last evening that were tied and went into overtime. Good to enjoy when neither is a favorite team. Our favorite team had a bye week. They needed some more time to prepare for their next loss, 1-5 is sad for a team that went 13-0 last regular season.
Coffee is being poured, see y'all at the church, there's always room.

Morning folks, 65 heading to the upper 80's, wow 15 degrees warmer than the Panhandle of Fla. Big cool down coming our way tonight, low in the 40's highs in the 60's for the next week or so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some painting by ole jack frost up here on the rim.
Outside critters are fed, ole wampus sez hiii.

Morning all, note, I didn’t say Good Morning. The weather is a-changing and I ache all over. After 2nd summer last week it is 48 at nearly noon with frost and freeze warnings for the next several days. Fall is here for real. Seemed the trees turned color almost overnight and with the wind today coming down like crazy. Plus I haven’t seen a hummingbird for two weeks.
Nothing much planned today or tomorrow. Will fry up a thick slice of ham and cook sweet taters for supper.
Otherwise, the endless list of household chores and get some stuff listed on eBay.

Will work a few days this week then head up north to do some Musky fishing with brother and nephew . Still to warm for bow hunting ,maybe next week we will get into that , depends on weather.
Boji. Fall is here for sure! All the tourists have left the resorts and lakes . Carharts in the morning and t shirts in the afternoon. Hope your aches and pains aren’t too bad!

Good morning everyone,
Didn’t sleep the best but got a jump on the day. At work by 6:30 always a plus that means out the door at 3:00 straight up. Saw a couple of deer on someone’s car go by last night. I don’t deer hunt. Dove and pheasant waiting for a little cooler weather and crops to be out before we go chase some pheasant.
Everyone have a great day

Good Mornin', Folks.
We're starting out a bit warmer than the last couple of mornings, back up to 62 degrees. Weather wise it looks like the forecast is still not indicating any rain for the next 10 days. ::paranoid:: Peanuts are being dug, so those fellers are mostly happy with such a report. Sometimes a bit of rain helps in the peanut harvest when the ground has become real hard after a dry spell. On the other hand too much rain during harvest can also be devastating. Farming is an enterprise that requires a lot of faith.
Coffee is about made. We haven't seen a hummingbird in several days. May still be around but not like they were a few weeks back. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the 1st Robin, then we'll know it's sure enough cold some where up north. ::nod:: No telling what may show up in the yard.
Hope everyone has a good Monday!

Good morning. 30 degrees to start the day and high expected to be mid 40's. I got long johns and wool socks on. We are heading back to the siding job today and up north for most of the rest of the week to do a metal roof. The fall colors have been in full display but will likely be mostly blown out of the trees this week. Have a good week.____Dave

It's 1:30 now. Been up since 0500. Thermostat is set for 77 but that must be a summer setting. It's kinda nipply in here. It's currently 58 deg outside. I need to call my daughter & find out how to work this fancy thermostat.

Texted my daughter. She set the thermostat from Mesa, AZ using her phone. ::tu:: Geez Louise. The world is leaving me behind.

Mornin' Ya'll

No coffee for me yet. Fasting in order to have labs drawn in a little while. Some breakfast and cup a joe after.
Then off to the Dealer to get my car serviced.
Speaking of, the wife's Charger transmission crapped out Friday. Had it towed to our mechanic, who called yesterday with the news it'll have to be rebuilt or replaced. She spent most of the day calling around for options and quotes.
::doh:: Damn car has been an absolute money pit . . . .

Good morning. My grand son Dillon just got back from a 3 month deployment yesterday. Good to have him home. Chris, apparently I got one of those money pit vehicles too. The Toyota we just spent $700 on is back in the shop after one three days at home with similar problems and symptoms but a different code causing the problems. We are heading north today to install a metal roof and snow is getting really close (or maybe is at) the area we are to work in. It's 32 here but may get up to almost 50. Yesterday was supposed to be cold and windy but actually turned into a pretty decent day. Hope you all have a great Tuesday.____Dave

Good morning folks!
I don't normally read FCD until later in the day, but I am on a new schedule now. I moved into a Double-wide just down the road, and have begun remodeling it.
I am not used to a quiet house.
It got very cold last night, so bad it woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep for the shivering (the trailer has power and water, but I have yet to buy propane), so I got up and 3:30 and worked up a sweat by scrubbing walls in preparation for painting.
I am feeling much better right now though, ready to go to my job, then hit the remodeling again tonight.
I won't have a lot of time to play with knives for a while, but hoping to provide a better home for the family!
I hope all of you have a great day!!

Thanks for opening Royal. Sorry to learn of your wife's car problems.

Currently 45 going to 57. Mostly cloudy today with a slight chance of rain. It did get down to freezing last night.

Trip to the podiatrist today. I am blessed with excellent medical coverage so I was startled to receive a bill for my office visit from August. After many phone calls I discovered that the hospital billing dept. entered the incorrect member number.

Good Mornin', Folks.
Been to men's prayer meeting and now Miss Joy and I will have our coffee together. Fall must be here to stay, temperature back down to 53° this morning.
Vehicle problems are so complicated any more, sorry to read you fellers are experiencing troubles with your vehicles. Remember when we able to fix a lot of the problems and not even have auto mechanic on our resume?
Got too many irons in the fire all of a sudden! My knee surgery has slowed things down, still trying to get some cool weather food plots planted and we are trying to move two rooms of furniture into a 3rd bedroom and the "she shed" in preparation for some flooring work that I can no longer do. At least there are no doctor appointments this week.
Y'all have a good day!

Low this morning was 27, one more time tonight/tomorrow then back to 40/70’s.
Sorry about all the car woes, I’ve been fortunate for the past 17 years with Toyota/Lexus. One thing and I decided not to fix it, the sensor that beeped when you got close to something. It went crazy. $400 to fix. Decided if I didn’t know how close I was I should quit driving.
The thing that has bugged me is batteries nowadays. Instant DOA with no warning. Fortunately both times at home so jumped it.
I even did mechanic work back in the days of the small block Chevy V8, change plugs, adjust carburetors, even changed a head gasket.
Time for more coffee and food.

Good Morning Royal and to all who follow. Currently 35 going to 58. Cloudy. Yesterday we had a brief but heavy rain.
I hope everyone got a chance to see the super-moon.

I didn't realize alligators could be found in the Mississippi river. They just found the largest and it had human remains in its mouth. I know there is a type of shark that reached way up north; I think it was heading to Chicago. I know there is an electrical barrier to stop unwanted fish from entering the Illinois waterway system.

Brown Thrashers are passing thru here, but I only see one a day. I remember scores of them passing thru Grant Park in Chicago; a rather handsome bird.

Good Morning Everyone!
I've been busy this past week and haven't posted very much. Family and church plans are starting to come together for the holidays and it sure looks like we are going to be busy around here. Say a little prayer for Cheryl, tomorrow she has a day surgery to replace a chip just under the skin of her chest. It monitors her for heart arrhythmia and sends a report to a doctor via a machine by the bed, I think some of you may be familiar with this type of implant. These things are amazing but they need to last longer than 3 to 5 years. I shouldn't complain, just be thankful for the progress. Getting a new church sign delivered today and then I'm working on some woodburning art. Have a blessed day and be safe.... :D
