Waukonda, knifeaddict, I was already shaking at the sheer magnitude of the force of those blasts when the heat waved rolled in and overtook me. Then came the shockwave and the aftermath of the devastation. Hope you're both recovering from the magnitude of those strikes.


Felt a distinct disturbance myself in the Force that could not be explained. Nothing seemed awry, couldn't define the vibrations, were no detectable signs of something amiss. Then as I blew off the outside of the mail box and slowly opened the door, it hit me. Heat and debris and dusty, acrid haze were the unmistakable signs of an event. The evidence was clear as glass. Like a V2 rocket out of the clouds came a hiss like the run off of an old LP, or the leader of a cassette tape. And then, out of the dark, arched hole in the facing end of the metallic postal receptacle came the foggy view of the Queen mother of all heavy artillery. The bomb of bombs and all manner of explosive devices, had smashed into my brain tissue like hot magma from the Volcano. Kilahuella had spit it out like hot magma and flung it across time zones and leagues of ocean and sky toward the East where it landed to the mad shreiks and wails of the unsuspecting victim. Then all went black and suffocating heaviness sucked the very oxygen from the air and when the dust finally settled the unmistakable odor of burlap and carbon and vintage American steel filled the air and burned the nostrils. And then a long, stunned, thoughtful silence followed.

I am so utterly shell-shocked that I am completely dumbfounded and rendered speechless. I'll just have to let the photos do the talking for me. To anyone who knows and understands what they're looking at here, the sheer magnitude of this BOMB will be both obvious and astounding on a level that mere words can neither encompass nor convey. Another well placed "BOMB" by the master bombardier, and nice touch with the ivory beads. Way to go I-Man and congrats on such a beautiful piece, Q! You guys are dropping some serious ordnance.

I've been bitten by the RoseCraft bug and my new friend Tony recognized my brand support by bombing me this week with their rendition of a loom fixer. I was tickled pink when it arrived and it was proudly carried all week including to a Christmas Cantana that we attended last evening. She's both a workhorse and cleans-up nicely for a night on the town. Thank you my friend she's now a permanent part of my heirloom collection

That's one nice knife, ~Q~, I got my copy as soon as Mark dropped them. I already had the first co-lab Mark commissioned with Moki, the model with jigged blue lapis covers, and getting this knife made up a set.

Incident Report:

On Wednesday December the 11th I was warned of an incoming threat which had emerged from the western region of Wisconsin.

Early threat assessment systems confirmed the presence of an unknown threat again on Thursday December the 12th. Trajectory analysis suggested touchdown would occur at roughly midday on the following day.

On Friday December 13th my beleaguered nation made preparations for the assault. As the white box truck of the usps aka " The Harbinger of Destruction" approached the order was given to abandon posts and hit the deck.

First hand account: We heard the clank of the payload being dropped. We waited for the acrid smell. For the blast. For the chaos. As we braced ourselved against the sound and the fury we were met with....a merciful silence. Confused, scouts were sent. Their initial reports were nothing short of miraculous.

Instead of a mother load of destruction, a friendly had flown by to air drop in a crate of rations (gift cards to eateries), supplies (gift cards to Amazon), and munitions.

The first of which is one you all probably know well, but was made before I joined the site: the 2022 AAPK club knife. Elderberry, known for it's healing properties, is also a magnificent color for bone. The next bomb to be added to my arsenal is a bad to the bone coke bottle Aerial. It's without it's original armor plating, but ripe for customization. Made in Wisconsin, and gifted from one Wisconsinite to another, this one will stay in my bunker indefinitely.

In all seriousness though, good people don't do good things for recognition. The rewards of kindness are always self evident, but I feel our buddy JP aka Ripster deserves a shout out and three cheers for he truly is a jolly good fellow. He let me know this bomb was coming my way, but I never dreamed it would contain this level of generosity and kindness. I'm still pretty stunned by it. The GEC was unused until I was absent mindedly coon fingering it and cut my pinky a little. Now the knife is mine forever I guess

JP insisted that nothing need be sent in return. But we are a proud nation. We pay our debts when we have them and we honor our friends when they touch our lives in meaningful ways. Look to the skies my friend. My response in kind will fall from it...the timing must be perfect

I came home from a recon run (2 mile jog) to find a smoldering crater containing these 2 agents of destruction. A Rough Rider Stockman and a Case trapper, both mint in box.

I've never owned a GEC and have only 3 Case, but now I've got one of each in each pocket, and a smile that's brighter than a nuclear blast.

2 direct hits in 2 days. The knife gods smile warmly upon me it seems.
