Picked up this old EGW , and was looking for some background. All the references I dig up point to this as a Private Purchase / PX knife vs and issue item
5inch non-fullered blade, 9 1/2 overall, with stacked leather disk handle
non-serrated back
cap lifter and lanyard ring
Appreciate any data on prodution and issue/use, cuz I got doodly

I think all the small ones were made post war.
