YOUR USER NAME

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I'm a 73 year old Star Trek fan. You might like seeing this woodburning I did on a

If any of you folks are fans of Star Trek The Next Generation, the final episode titled “All Good Things” is really good. It’s a must see if you haven’t seen it.

That's spectacular, David, could you do one for me of the cigar smoking card playing dogs sitting around a card table? ::shrug::

That one might be a bit too much for my current talent but I might try it someday.

Thanks David, I was actually half joking, I thought I'd just feel out the possibility. ::hmm:: One like I described sure would be cool though! ::nod::

That's really nice. I am not so talented. I honestly watch the original series shows almost daily and that is no exaggeration. I watched 4 episodes yesterday evening. It's a comfort show for me. I can put this on and still do something else. (I also play Playstation) I guess I am a 60 year old kid.

I honestly am not a fan of any of the other Star Trek series. TNG made too big of an effort to be politically correct and when they put Whoopie Goldberg on the show I banished it from my TV. I will however check out the "All Good Things" episode based on your recommendation..(unless I see Whoopie) then all bets are off.

I don’t recall seeing Whoopie in that episode but I wouldn’t swear by it.

I hope you get a chance to watch it. It is possibly the best series finale of any show that I’ve ever seen. The first time I saw it, I kept thinking about it all day the next day.

::hmm:: ... I have to disagree with you ::huff:: .... I think Whoopie Goldberg has been a brilliant and inspirational actress over the years. Very talented indeed ::nod:: ... ::suspense:: Just look at what she did for the whole "Predator" franchise ::hmm:: ......

Well now that you say that, I went and did some research on the original series (TOS) and I found she was uncredited as the Salt Vampire, season 1 episode 1. This used to be one of my favorite episodes, maybe not so much now. I can't believe I didn't catch the likeness until now.

::hmm:: .. As I recall... ::paranoid:: ... I believe she later won an Emmy award and was nominated for a Peabody Award for her brilliant work on that groundbreaking episode... ::hmm::
