Why this strangely textured G-10 compared to bone or stag is beyond me.

The tang stamp is etched, NOT stamped. ... A move to cut cost I would assume....

Thanks Ken, ... Well I ordered some Case XX knives from SMKW last year and some that were 2022 stock had a stamped tang stamp and yep... ... the newer ones did not I will miss the old, stamped tangs, that is always a draw for me to a knife, a nice deep tang stamp....
