Morning folks, 62 deg and that's supposed to be the high for the day. Warm front came through overnight bringing thunder bumpers about bedtime last evening. Poured out 1.6 inches of rain water out of the guage.
Critters are fed and the dishes warshed and put away, Wampus didn't show for breakfast, and yes Boots is a female she and a black kitten were dropped on us a couple of years back they first first came to my house and I fed them they disappeared the first night and our neighbor called and ask if we had lost a kitten, we told them no but a couple had been dropped in the neighborhood, they have 2 little boys and it was love at first sight with boots l reckon, momma and dad really didn't want her but the boys won out. The black one was never seen again. Boots is a outside cat and comes and visits the boss and I everyday after the kids go to school and the adults go to work. Wampus pays her very little attention, but understand he's gone alot, he eats and disappears till supper time comes around most days. We watch him leave alot of mornings he seldom goes the same way twice.

Garry enjoyed reading about your pride and joy, I left the VA Wednesday we were on Broadway in Nashville, and the boss said "What is that thing with the drive out tags"? I sez that probably close to 3 hundred thousand on the hoof do not get to closed to him. Brand new Aston Martin, she said probably one of the Titans or Predators, I sez probably but there is so much big money in the Nashville area it's hard to tell, fancy cars are not a rarity.
Buddies day at Hooters.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

Good Morning Everyone!
Well no not really for us. It was a rough night for both of us. Cheryl ended up sleeping in her living room chair and
I didn't get to sleep until around 3 AM. We both feel like a truck hit us, so there is nothing going on around here
except coughing, nose blowing and complaining about how we feel. I really hope y'all have a blessed day...... ::tired::

It didn't get any better today. We are both running a fever and with the coughing it scares me with the lung fibrosis I have.
And wouldn't you know it my nebulizer broke and I had to buy a new one. Guess I better go see if I'm going to be able to sleep
tonight. Take care of yourself Boji.

Good Mornin', Folks.
Hopefully we'll hear a better report from David and Miss Cheryl this morning. We did our 6 month check up with our family doctor yesterday and he commented on the large amount of folks coming down with flu and covid in our area after we shared our little episode a couple of weeks ago. The term "seasonal illnesses" was mentioned as we were talking.
Temperature down again, 41° as we see the eastern sky brighten this morning. We had several light showers yesterday, just enough to make us stay inside most of the afternoon.
The aircraft accidents are sure depressing. Praying for all involved. ::pray::
The sun is reaching the tops of the pines on the west side of our house, it is such a beautiful sight in the mornings! ::tu::
Y'all have a great 1st day of February!

Good morning. David, I pray you and your bride get over this stuff quickly. It seems like whatever Covid was changed a lot of the regular cold type illnesses that go around. My own suspicions are that it was designed to do just that. Jane and I and much of my family have done pretty well staying away from all the shots and the few that didn't, at least in my family circle, have had issues that they tell us are common side effects of the vaccine. I'm guessing we will never know the whole story of all that went on. Biden covered their butts by pardoning them for any crimes they might have committed just in case more information gets out than they want us to know, and that in itself makes me suspicious that something nasty happened. On a whole different subject, my friend Tom from our church who's son Joe passed away two weeks ago, and who's wife passed away a couple years ago had a slight heart attack on Thursday. He is home resting already so it was minor. We are having a remembrance of life tomorrow in church for Joe after the regular service. The family consisting of his wife and three kids didn't want a regular funeral and our pastor thought this would be a good way for our church family to grieve. The whole family have been very active in our church for many years. Joe did all the computer stuff and a few computer savvy guys are trying to figure out the system and will get there, but Joe was so good at it that it's going to take some time before things seem somewhat normal again. Tom's wife who passed a couple years ago was out church secretary/treasure for many years and knew and ran everything and was so good at it that we just let her do her thing. I am spending the day resting up and recovering from last weeks work today. We are supposed to get up to a half foot of snow this afternoon so I'm liking my plan more all the time. Jason loves snow removal so I just let him do his thing from the house where it's warm and dry Have a good weekend.____Dave

Good morning. Well we got our 6 inches of snow yesterday and last night. Jason will hit it with the snow blower in a few minutes. We had Finn last night who is our youngest great grand son, stay over night with Jason and Melody so our grand daughter could go to a friends wedding. By we, I mean Melody and Jason because they pretty much live downstairs' so Finn didn't keep Jane and I up and Finn decided 4;30 was wake up time. I don't miss baby's night time schedules that don't coincide with mine. Church is in a few hours with a pot luck meal and a Remembrance of Life for our friend Joe after. Scott, good luck and the estate sale today and Webster tomorrow. I'll be watching your haul tomorrow to see if there is something I need to write a check for. I haven't bought a knife in months. I'm even poking around the idea of going to Janesville to the show this March. It's been soooo long since I've had a real knife experience. I feel like I need something to jump start my heart and get my life a little more exciting and going to funerals and watching snow fall isn't doing it. I'm too young to be this old. I hope you all have a good Sunday.____Dave

Good morning knifers .
DJ Dave, it would be great to see you again ,hope you do make Janesville this year. A Few of us are meeting Friday afternoon at the show to visit and maybe some trading or ? Dates are 3/28 thru 3/30 .Supposed to be 175 tables or more this year. There’s a lot more newer stuff last few years but still a lot of old traditional stuff as well.
Not much happening here. Heidi’s still recovering from the last bug. Am feeling better so will go to church shortly . Then not sure .
You all have a great day out there.

Good Mornin', Good Folks!
What a good looking sunrise, bighomer!
Miss Joy let me sleep a bit longer than usual this morning. Ths sun is illuminating the tops of the pines west of our house, always looks good. We don't notice this during the summer as the trees in the yard will be leafed out. Water Oaks, Black Gum tupelo, pear, a red oak and mulberry trees are all bare during the winter. Plus this view was hidden by the large Live Oak we had to remove in order to keep our homeowners policy last year. Almost getting used to driving up and not missing that beautiful old tree. :(
Cool morning again by our standards, 39°, we got to 78° yesterday. Probably start processing the deer from last Monday. No doctor appointments for several weeks. Walking in the yard the last few evenings, has got us thinking about gardening again, won't be long till time to start. The walks have revealed 3 active scrapes (some of y'all know what I'm talking about) not 200 feet from our front door. The rut is still on.
Coffee was extra good this morning!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning. Low 50s here. The day is supposed to be mostly cloudy.

Will visit the shop today and get an assessment on how much I am going to need to spend on my car. I suppose a new timing belt will be one of the more
expensive items.

Hope you all have a good, safe, day.

Mornin' QS and mornin' to the rest of the folks here. It was a leisurely Monday and I hope for the same today. The high temp in my back yard was 85º and I expect about the same for today. It is a comfortable 66º right now.
I woke up early and plan to head to my chair for a good nap before going to Men's Devotional Breakfast at 7am.
Hope you day is a good one.

Good Mornin', Folks.
54° here at Starvation Plantation, supposed to be foggy up until about 10am. Heading out to men's prayer meeting this morning, hadn't been to go for a couple of weeks.
Slept pretty well last night, would be easy to take a nap here in my chair like Ray is doing. Time won't permit that this morning. Speaking of time, it is very soothing to sit and listen to the clocks ticking in the dark. Usually there is only one running during the week but for some reason the one in the dining room is still ticking. It was my grandmother's clock and Miss Joy usually only runs it on Saturday and Sunday. She's afraid we might wear it out. The clock is pretty old, Grandmother died around 1960, she was 92 when she passed. The pendulum has several dates neatly scratched on the back side that we assume we're placed there by a clock repairman in the early 1900s. ::shrug::
Worked on venison most of the day yesterday, have a little bit left to do this morning.
Got to go, y'all have a blessed day. ::tu::

Good morning. It's back down to about 10 below and predicted to be cold again for a spell. We got most of the ceiling insulation blown into the big house yesterday and the homeowner is picking up more this morning for us. Phil, we have many old pendulum clocks and several we keep wound. One we use off and on in the living room is from my old grade school that was torn down in m the late 60's and has a mellow tic/toc that absolutely puts a person to sleep. Thank goodness it was in the school library and not in one of the two classrooms, or I likely would have slept through grade school. I have about 30 clocks around the house, all old and most still run, but we don't wind them most of the time, or neither of us would get much sleep. I'm off to work. Have a great Tuesday._____Dave
