Who is Your Superbowl Pick

Post by just bob »

Before the season starts on Thursday who is your pick to be Superbowl winner? I'm going with the Eagles. Don't know what happened last year but they derailed in about week 12. This is the year of the bird. I'd be dancing in the street if the Bengals were to win and happy if the Colts won, but my gut says Philly. Fun to go back and read this after the year is over. If anyone gets it right, I'll send you a free Zippo lighter. If more than one wins pick the total points to be scored by winning team without going over for a tie breaker. Include your tie breaker with your pick.

I had totally forgotten about this until I got a PM from Bob. Turns out I was the only one to pick the Chiefs, so our wager is on. Now Sunday will have some additional interest for the both of us. If I (Chiefs) win, I will receive the Zippo lighter. If Bob (Eagles) win, I will send him one of my handcarved and handpainted mini duck decoys. Game on.

I’m not a fan of the NFL but I am a fan of Mr. Mahomes. I have followed him since high school and college - one of the most amazing athletes I have ever seen play in person. Actually both quarterbacks are from Texas high schools (Hurts is from Channelview H.S. near Houston, Mahomes is from Whitehouse H.S. near Tyler) and both are outstanding.

Too late to be part of the bet, but Go Chiefs!

That's much more enticing than a KC bbq/Philly cheeseteak wager!

Pat's and Gino's are overrated, tried both on my last visit to Philly. There's a place here in Alexandria, Al's Steakhouse, and they're the best I've ever had. 🤤

It seems that Kansas City sent their Pop Warner team and not their NFL team.

Very proud to say I received this decoy from Jim today. What a fantastic job of carving and painting this. We'll try to get things started earlier and maybe get a bigger prize package next year. THANK YOU, JIM! Amazing how much talent some people on here have and are so willing to share it. Also, if you look in the pic you can also see I got one of Jim's ink pens. Super!

That is awesome! ::groove::

We had a 12" Philly from Al's last night to split, more like an 18" Philly. With lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mayo and American cheese (of course). The best! 🤤
