A couple of days ago I finally understood what it is, what do you think? There are only 2 living tools here - a blade and an awl, the rest is broken off. Enormous lateral blade play. But the steel is perfectly tempered!

Welcome snake. You've landed in the wrong thread. This is a game where we try to guess the maker of knife from a picture. The correct guesser then posts the next picture of a mystery knife. Try the "Q & A" thread below and come back and join the game. ::handshake:: J.O'.

Edit: oops. J O guessed that. I second the motion I guess ::shrug::

Mostly I just wanted to hazard a guess so I could comment on those bones

Aaaah, apparently I misunderstood the rules of the game. Excuse me, I'll try to get in line when it's time to guess the next knife :)

These old Solingen knives are often indistinguishable from each other unless you look at the stamp. This is a Linkat Stahlwaren. Someone destroyed the heads of a deer and a doe (or two deer) when sharpening it, I had to look in the Solingen knifemakers directory to find. I initially thought it was a pig or a dachshund until I noticed the extra pair of leg
