Nice display, woodwalker! ::tu:: Some knives are so special they just have to be kept out on display for near constant chicken-eying! :D

Very striking indeed, Mark. Beautiful collection of LW Paul knives 8) ::tu::

I have loved the axial lock ever since I first discovered it; a truly marvelous piece of precision engineering. According to one history I read about its design, the tolerances are so precise that it was extremely challenging to produce and necessitated the invention of some new manufacturing equipment.

For those unfamiliar with the axial lock, here's an article that may be of interest:

Great collections guys! ::tu::
Another amazing sub-collection, Mark... ::tu:: I wish I knew more about the Paul knives. I will be going to a show tomorrow and a friend of mine may be bringing a few. Hopefully, I can pick up a couple for a decent price. If you want to PM me your number, I can text you guys some pictures if he has something you're looking for to round out your collections.

Thanks Q, I appreciate you sharing that information. It is unique and deserves a place in just about everybody’s collection. I loved it since my first purchase from A.G. Russell about 20 years ago.

John those are some beautiful Bulldogs.

Woodwalker, that is a nice collection, I like the photo behind it too.

Actually, Marco...there are at least four Lone Wolf Paul models (that I know of) that are absent from SSK Mark's photo: Defender, Prankster, Perfecto, and Slim Jim and maybe more that I don't know of ::nod::

I wouldn't doubt that you are correct about what I saw missing in Mark's pics, ~Q~, truth be told, I was thinking about the models I like the most that I found to be missing, there may very well be more models that I haven't seen or am even aware of. While doing some research about the series I saw those beautiful knives that are not in Mark's pics again, and man-o-man, the Monkey started rattling his cage so hard I thought he'd break out and attack me, and then I saw your pics from today and he started up again, but so far I survived, whew! Thanks for the correct info, buddy! ::handshake::

When I first looked at that pic, I was guessing that the handsome guy in the middle was probably you. What was the occasion? I don't see a Camillus USN knife in your grouping there? My Dad was in the Seabees, and one of his brothers made a career of the Navy.

Thank you I think the color in the pic must be off, they bolsters are more brass colored FYI. A Buck 110 knock off was my first knife I can remember that my Grandfather picked up at some flee market for me when I was a kid. I had it up until a few years ago. Used it to practice sharpening skills lol

Deciphering tang stamps must be a little boring after that kind of work. :wink:

If you hadn't identified them as Klein, I would've guessed it was a mix of Kershaw, Buck and Schrade ::nod::

Nice group and nice photo layout ::tu::

I thought there were some Kershaw Japan knives in there too. Now I know who made both Kershaw and Klein Japan knives. Nice looking group and good knives.
