Nothing much going on around here, gonna try to do some yard stuff.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

good Morning, all! Ohio may actually be thinking about spring, at least for the day--it should be up into 60s, if the prognosticators didn't put on the wrong tin hat this morning. I get to go for an EKG today--woohoo!

This is my first day without my kids home for me to watch in 6 months. I dad 5 days a week then work the weekends. Used to work Saturday nights until the a.m. hours too, but burning the candle at both ends and torching the middle simultaneously burnt me out in about 2 years. Now Im so accustomed to my daily circus of a life that Im fairly well stuck in neutral right now. The silence is both peaceful and oppressive. Im both thrilled and lonely feeling. I have a billion things to get done. Or I can relax and do nothing. Even choosing what to do is causing me some anxiety. Im leaning towards getting my knife store back up and running. I have maybe 25 or so knives that I have in a user rotation. Then i have many times that of knives that I bought for catch and release, but never let go of. I never intended to be a collector, just an admirer and a "user". However the accumulating has definitely outpaced the Selling, and now my work shop is getting cluttered. Need to get it cleared before garage and estate sale season starts, or I may never get ahead of the knife crisis.

Ok just one more cup of coffee while I contemplate the silence then its knife day my dudes.

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend. ::tu::

Good Mornin', Folks.
Woke up around 5am, still sprinkling, we went back to sleep. Rained off and on all day yesterday and continued through the night. Not sure if it is over for now?
Sitting here drinking our 1st cup, watching the news and watching 5 deer browsing the front yard. All sorts of birds this morning, Mourning Doves, Chickadees, Titmice, red birds (Cardinals), a few Finches and a whole tribe of squirrels plus the deer, don't think we want to move to town anytime soon!
Y'all enjoy the day, I already have! ::nod::

Good morning. I'm up a sipping my first cup. Yesterday was a beautiful day here with sunshine and 60 degrees. People were driving around with their car windows open and most left their jackets off. It's supposed to get back down to a more normal 20 degrees now for a few days but it is good to see winter losing it's grip. They are talking about significant snow by the weekend. Our work schedule has slowed down and it feels good. Have a good Tuesday.____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks!
41° here at Starvation Plantation this morning. I went to men's prayer meeting this morning and when we were leaving the church, the fog was so thick you couldn't see 100 yards. Driving a 1/4 mile to the main road, there was no fog. Went through several thick patches of fog on the way home. Here at the house it is clear with bright sunshine! First sun we've seen in several days.
It's about time to fire up the zero turn, lots of weeds coming up in the yard, a normal thing each Spring.
We never run out of things to do on our little farm, we just run out of energy to do them. ::nod::
Y'all have a good day.

Morning folks, 44 for the low, take that farmer I'm warmer than you. Supposed to see the 70's according to Nikki Dee.
Critters are fed and the dishes warshed and put away. Wampus seems to be back on track.
Time for a third cuppa joe and catch up with the fcd.
Ray I'm one of them sleepyheads dang near 7:15 when I drug my ole carcass out of bed. I ain't apologizing l liked it
Yestiddy wuz shore nice, blew some leaves up in pile then chopped them up with the zt got my old 25 year old yard tractor out and drove it around a bit. Cut a few high spots. Was tickled pink they both started up, I generally start them several times during the winter season but never seem to get'er done this winter. Always use some sta-bilt in them it seems to have worked out okay.
Got more yard work to do today but the boss has therapy on her shoulder and some others odds and ends she wants help with so I may have to put it off.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there ::handshake::

Good Morning Everyone!
Hope everyone's week is going good. My daughter is still here with her family and then next Tuesday Cheryl and I leave
for Herculaneum, MO. to visit with my oldest son. Of course we will have to stop at some of the many antique shops
going and coming back. I've been pretty lucky at finding knives at many of them in the past. Of course there is the big
Shepherd Hills Factory Outlet in Lebanon, MO. Looking forward to the trip. Have a blessed day and be safe... :D

Good morning JP, David and all who follow you in. WE might check out a couple jobs today and I need to get my tax info down to the tax man. He's too busy to do them before the deadline so he always files for an extension for me and I'm good with that. He is really good at what he does, but he is my age and nobody can figure out why either of us are still working when we should have retired 16 years ago. I suspect both of us are trying to get this national debt paid off before we retire. Church tonight with supper included and I have a meeting after so it might get to be a long night. The snow event they warned us about for the weekend looks more like a rain event coming, and I'm good with that although it might be flooding in some areas because the ground is still frozen. We are high enough for it to not be much of a concern for us unless we go somewhere and cross any of the many rivers in our area. The last time this happened, it took me three tries before I could find a road not flooded. I doubt next weekend will be ant where near that much of a weather event. Have a good Wednesday.____Dave

Good Mornin', Knifers.
Apparently we overslept this morning. It's not like we have some place to be this beautiful morning. Sunshine and 41°, the news just said it was 44° in NYC. ::shrug::
Coffee is mighty fine this morning!
Yesterday we did a bit of office work in the morning and the I spent the afternoon building a trailer hitch for the golf cart we bought Miss Joy last summer. My old woods cart is in the shop and we need to be pulling our utility trailer around the yard cleaning up limbs and some pruned vines. The truck or tractor makes a mess of the sod because of weight. Lots of yard work all during the growing season. Mowing lasts for about 8 months.
Church this evening, no meals for adults, just children and youth.
Y'all have a blessed day!

Morning folks, happy 🐫 day for you day workers. 55 the low may top out at 80 sez Nikki Dee, my little weather station hit 79 yestiddy.
Critters are fed and the dishes warshed and put away.
Ole wampus wuz in fine fettle laying on his throne, he just came around the front of the house checking his domain.
I got a few of what I call putting out fire jobs done yestiddy, picked up alot of trash and all the limbs put them on the burn pile, tacked down the ole tin roof of my chicken house that's been a storage building for more years than I like to think about. The big wind last week blew it up in a couple of places, I've got several little jobs taken care in the last couple of days so I'm gonna lollygag, ponder and piddle today.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

G'Morning all! No coffee yesterday; I had surgery on my elbow and was out the door by 5:30. The pot's brewing this morning now, and I can't wait! S'posed to be into the 70's here today; I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Expected high temps today and tomorrow 70’s, then back to winter. And wind. Saw a couple of robins yesterday.
Work today but need to get a few things done around house first. But more coffee first!

Good Mornin'.
51° this morning, supposed to have some rough weather later today and maybe the whole weekend.
Workday, yard work continues today. Menu for today sounds good, Great Northern beans, coleslaw, pork sausage, fried cornbread and sweet tea.
Ended up chauffering Miss Joy around yesterday, to the bank, to dinner and to the beauty "saloon" for a haircut. Had nice day just messing around, took some back roads and enjoyed the spring bloom!
Made my game camera run yesterday afternoon, got a few interesting pictures and lots of foggy pictures because of the fog we've had last few days. Boji, we still have a few Robin's hanging around, they'll all be gone back north in a week or so. When the Robins show up in the fall, we know it getting cold somewhere up north. It's also time to put out the Hummingbird feeder.
Coffee is about to be served and it is light enough outside to see just a bit, the day has started.
Have a good one!

Good Morning to all.

doglegg, your beautiful photos reveal that you are being blessed with some good weather.

I'm wondering if I should try and do my own taxes this year.

In a few minutes my sister will depart for LA and her two week cruise. She will be sorely missed.

peace & health

Good morning. Dogleg, you sure know how to hurt a guy when's he's down. We'll get even when you get to 100 and we have 70. I just crawled out of bed and it's 8 c-clock. Half of my morning is gone. I suspect it's half the hour change and half the late meeting last night. Also I've got a baker cyst in my left knee that only acts up when I do something stupid like roof a house, but this one snuck up on me when I was behaving myself. Not much happening today for work, but the jobs keep coming in. Nothing planned for the weekend either. I got my peddle trike back form the repair shop but it still needs work and I'm hoping to get it working before Spring. I'll have to get some pictures. It's a two seater with bucket seats and three speed transmission. I have to make a new windshield out of polycarbonite which I have on hand. I gotta run. Have a good Thursday.____Dave
