T.T.C. Lockback - 1902-1910

Post by tvic »

Early Sears brand - T.T.C. 1902-1910 - predating Wilbert, Sta-Sharp, Dunlap and all the other Sears brands. This is the only one I've ever seen other than a razor. In amazing good condition for being over 115 years old. Lockback works great, very little sharpening ever to the blade, handles are crack free. However, I do believe the pile side handle has been replaced over the years - quite a while back, obviously. Note in one of the photos one bolster has pulled away some but had no effect on the operation of the knifel. T.T.C. logo in the diamond on the tang is beautifully preserved. A handlful at 5 1/2" closed and 9 1/2" open. Only selling due to finances, and I'm just trying to break even on this one. I also got this listed on Ebay for $449, but $350 here since I can avoid those stupid Ebay fees. I'll pay shipping and insurance. Thanks!

From a c.1905 Sears catalog - obviously not a Winchester, is it.

I really didn't say it was a Winchester, I said it looks like a Winchester or since it predates Winchester, Winchester looks like the TTC. Winchester didn't crank up until about 1920, so I was just pointing out a striking resemblance to one of it's patterns.
