Good Mornin'!
The weather app says foggy, I say overcast? ::shrug:: Always thought fog was pretty close to the ground, a lot I don't know about meteorology. 57° as we start the day. Looks like the storm crossing the country will lift out of the Gulf and bypass our part of creation, we could use a bit of rain.
Enjoyed all of yesterday's activities, always mindful of what Resurrection Sunday is all about. Conjured up memories of years gone by, coloring eggs, 3 fancy homemade dresses for Miss Joy and our 2 girls along with matching shirts for our little boy and me. We looked like a family of blue birds!
Yard work continues, gardening and mowing.
Miss Joy just brought me the 1st cup. :)
Y'all have a good day.

Morning folks, little late to the party, 63 the low may make the lower 70's later, front started coming through a bit before daybreak, couple of flashes of lightning, looks to be about a half inch of rain water in the guage.
Wampus wuz fed but hasn't shown up last I looked. I'm thinking he's off taking care of the ladies again.
Seems some of us ole farts are taking a little time off from the fcd.
I'm taking some time off from feeding the birds other than the hummers., may start back come wintertime.
Think I'll get another cuppa joe and ponder on it awhile. To wet to plow and to windy to haul rocks so lollygagging will be the biggest job around here.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

Good Mornin', Folks.
Well this morning it is foggy down at ground level along with 61°.
Started helping Miss Joy with her hedge project, digging up about 20' of sun sensitive Cast Iron plants. She had managed to dig up a few with a shovel, I tried it for about 15 minutes and gave up. Promptly got the tractor with the front end loader and got them removed. All this led to a net work of Oak roots from the large Live Oak we had to remove last year. The project is continuing.
Heading to men's prayer meeting, y'all have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone!
Heading down to Keller to see my friend Michael this morning. I'm taking back some knives I cleaned up for him to sell in his antique shop booth. We never exchange money for cleaning or fixing his knives so I hope to find a couple of good knives for payment. His booth is a mixture of a hundred different things so sometimes I'll trade him for something to give to Cheryl. We don't keep any kind of score, we just have fun doing what we like. Anyway times wasting, got to go. Have a blessed day and be safe..... :D

Good morning. Work today, supper at church tonight with study after, which is the same as most all Wednesdays, and the weather has been pretty much the same for weeks now with cool temps, moisture of drizzle or rain mixed with a touch of snow and ending the day with sunshine and around 50 degrees. My life seems to have developed into a pattern, but I guess it's one that sure could be worse. I've put away the long johns, but the winter jacket goes out the door with me in the morning. Life, all in all, is pretty good. I'm still toting around that old Case Brothers sunfish rope knife that I picked up a few weeks ago, partly to show to anyone and everyone, and partly because it's still sinking in that I own a knife that I've been wanting for almost 25 years and finally have one. I do need to get back into my knife books to find something else to shoot for before I'm totally done collecting knives so I can die happy. I seem to need to always have one more hill to climb in life, apart from my spiritual life of course. Re-reading this, I guess I should have stopped at "I'm off to work. Have a good day". I do tend to ramble on sometimes Take care.____Dave

Good Mornin', Dave and the rest of the crew that shows up!
Dave, posts like yours this morning is what makes some of us enjoy starting the day with AAPK and the actual 1st cup of coffee. There are several of us regulars that have probably gained the right to ramble because of our age. Speaking of age and rambling, Miss Joy is up and at 'em on her 80th birthday.
"What do you want to do tomorrow?" She replied, "Finish up planting my new hedge!" Looks like we'll be out there early and then maybe go have a nice meal somewhere. Church for us too is on the schedule, also. 61 degrees this morning with fog, yesterday we had a lot of cloud cover and kept the temperature down in the low 80s.
Y'all enjoy the day, we're going to try to finish up the new hedge plants.

Having a cup this morning as I watch How'd They Build That: School Bus with all 3 of my boys. Usually the first one up will watch a show while we wait for the last one to wake up before having breakfast. Today they're all up but we're watching a show because I can't get out of first gear. We have our standard in home therapy session today for my littlest then he's got an eye appointment later. My wife will get out of work early to help take him to that, but we're all packing up and going with and going shopping for a new grill afterwards. Have had mine for almost ten years, replaced the grates three times. It's been a good grill, ten years is a long time for a grill that sees use throughout the winter. A local thrift store is hosting a "scrap for trap" event. Actually fairly common around here, it's where you bring in scrap metal to a parking lot where a local trap shooting team is working to pay off competition entrance fees and gear. This particular event is to support the trap team from a local high school. Perfect way to get rid of my old grill. Just hoping to score a floor display model today because putting a grill together is worse than an afternoon date with an IKEA armoire.

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend. ::tu::

Morning folks, 55 heading to the upper 70's.
Wampus wuz on the tractor seat hissing his morning salute, hongery as usual. 3 bunny rabbit playing and eating in the back yard, one didn't even move as I walked by, I told him he wasn't hid very well but he paid no mind.
Well I for one enjoy all the meandering and its interesting to me to read the every day things going in the far north and the far south and everywhere in between. Dave's still wearing a coat and farmer is in shorts and flip-flops.
My plans yestiddy went all to heck so that's some things left to do. The boss wanted to get some things we'd been packing up for ARC out of her she shed to be picked up this morning, and I looked out the front door and big limb had fell out of the old box elder into the driveway, my son had my chainsaw so I went and got it and sawed that up, while I was at it there was a big limb in the old white oak that was dead so I cut that out and cut it up, the boss said I want you to cut the holly bush back, ( it never recovered from the quick freeze we had a couple of years ago), so we did that and she found another limb in another box elder that needed cutting. I got a good portion of the limbs cut up and put on my burn pile, got the rest to do today.
Happy birthday to miss Joy and I hope she has many more in her future, I'll be 80 in July the boss is 3 years younger.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

Good Mornin', Folks.
63° this morning and overcast.
Today is workday, not sure what project we will tackle today on the outside. Miss Joy and her helper are generally doing house cleaning but outside jobs are so varied.
Finally got the new hedge of Touch of Gold Holly plants in the dirt, yesterday. Following a shower and nap we went west to another small town for a quiet birthday dinner. Today the birthday celebration will continue at dinner time, friends will be bringing a cake and we've got several packages of venison fry meat (thin sliced ham) thawed out to cook along with field peas and rice.
Coffee is about ready to pour, y'all have a wonderful day!

Good morning. Phil, wish Miss Joy a Happy Birthday from Jane and I. WE are back down to a 30 degree morning with a rare sun appearance for this Spring day. Rain is coming in tonight and we've had rain often enough for the grass to not be so brown, but the chilly nights seem to have slowed down the trees budding and grass coming up. I'd love a long cool summer and I really like Spring, so if it wants to come in slow and easy, I'm OK with that. Winter could sure go away. The new batch of chicks are mostly feathered out and should be fine without a heat lamp, but when I turn it off in the warmest part of the day, they all pile up near cool light and look miserable. I can't tell if they are still too cool or if they are just spoiled with my pampering. They have enough room in their pen so if they don't need the lamp and I leave it on, they just move away where they are comfortable. I'm off to work. Jason is dying to try out the new DeWalt drywall 20 volt sanding system he bought yesterday. It replaces a one dollar piece of sand paper on a ten dollar painting pole, but captures pretty much all the dust, and all that convenience you get for about $700. He spent much of his life in the military, so I just figure that mindset comes naturally. It's too heavy for me to hold up for very long without messing with my back, but it vibrates the sheetrock mud so you don't have to actually move it back and forth to sand stuff. I'll just work on trim and let him do his thing. Have a good Thursday.____Dave

Mornin' Y'all

Exceptionally long day yesterday; Got off work, came home and showered, etc. then made the 1 1/2 hour drive to N. GA
for Bill's memorial service. Lots of EMS and Fire personnel, mostly coworkers and students, including an honor guard detail from the State Association. The Freemasons did their short service. Last was a flyover from a life flight chopper.

Today a dentist appointment, and maybe some yardwork. Cloudy and not too hot, so a good day for that ...

i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Morning folks, 57 was the overnight low 65 now heading to the upper 70's, chance of showers sez Nikki Dee, so far they've stayed south of us. Sun is peeking through the clouds.
Wampus was on the tractor seat again ready for breakfast.
Had a good workday yestiddy, got all my brush loaded on the burn pile and carried the cut up logs to my son to use in his fire pit this fall or whenever he decides he wants to sit around a fire.
Got to make a few little trips to take care of some things this morning and then hopefully rest up a bit from all my vigorous work the last couple of days. Takes awhile for this ole body to recover.
Everybody l know that's in the building business sure love their battery power tools, I love my battery powered
Lawn tools, the chainsaw l used for the last couple of days is a great tool for the average homeowner.

You don't ever know what you'll get with farm fresh eggs, this one was going into a big Joe scramble this morning, slightly elongated LARGE egg, the yoke "or as I say the yeller" was quite small and elongated, tasted just fine though. ::handshake::

Good morning. Another cool drizzly day but like most days lately, it appears the day day will clear off and turn out pretty nice. We are heading back to the remodeling job to put another coat of mud on the drywall, and then if decking material comes in, we'll cap a couple small decks we framed in yesterday at a different job. The work keeps coming in, but pretty much all small jobs. They aren't as exhausting and more interesting than large buildings or additions, but the money isn't as good or steady. Not much happening this weekend. There is an antique auction and they do have a few knives, but looks to be a couple of newer Scandinavian fixes blades and not enough to keep me sitting all day long just to be out bid by an antique dealer. Have a good Friday.____Dave

Morning folks, 67 the low may hit the 70's looks like we had a drop or two of rain overnight nowhere near enough to measure. The boss sez it just started raining as I hunt and peck.
Wampus was on the she-shed steps this morning and ate with great gusto.
Buddies day at Hooters and then a trip to the phone store, like a big dummy I busted mine yestiddy.
The I'll make a trip to the trash dump and then finish packing for a little trip to myrtle beach.
Now don't yawl worry my son will be here to feed ole wampus.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there.

Good Mornin', Fellers!
Checking in a little late this morning. 64° as the sun came up on this slightly hazy morning. We got to 86° yesterday and a pretty good rain storm rain northward, up the county line which is about 5 miles east of us. The clouds got black, the thunder boomed but not a drop of rain on Starvation Plantation. :( Ponds are still full but the ground is dry on top.
Yesterday's work went well, dug and pulled out more roots on the outside of the new hedge plants. Going to sprig the disturbed dirt with Centipede sprigs we'll remove from the edges of some rose beds. That'll take a few days.
Had a good workday dinner, several friends showed up to help continue celebrating Miss Joy's birthday. The fried venison was especially good! ::tu:: Had enough left over for folks to take some home.
Yards need mowing again, they still grow even if it doesn't rain. ::shrug::
Y'all enjoy the day!

We seem to be in a cycle of early morning drizzles.

My sister returns from her East Coast visit tomorrow. Her friend's husband is now a U.S. citizen and a soldier. I previously reported that he was fluent in 5 languages. That was incorrect. He is fluent in 8 languages, primarily Eastern European and Middle Eastern. His love for this country is something remarkable to see.

I wonder why I am listless and lacking energy this morning.

peace & health
