First Cup Diner!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I dozed off for just a bit then woke up and was unable to get back to sleep until after 5 AM. That, ladies and gentlemen, is not fun and often requires a nap to realign the universe. You have to be very careful though, because too much nap can cause the cycle to repeat itself.

We are scheduled to meet my daughter and SIL for lunch today at Red Lobster. I have not been to a Red Lobster in years so I'm looking forward to getting a cheddar biscuit. ::super_happy::
The Duluth Red Lobster got sold off and the new management apparently is messing up a good thing. Hope your is better.____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks!
Getting light enough to see, no critters in the yard yet. 75° this morning, 95 yesterday, finished all the mowing. It was rather warm when I got done around noon.
Coffee is about ready. Church is few hours. Miss Joy is still having tummy issues, waiting for the endoscopy on the 25th. She's been able to work in her flowers but is choosing to stay close to the house.
Y'all have a great Sunday, make it to worship if you can, there's always room for one more.

Good Morning Everyone!
My Granddaughter Grace is here spending the weekend with us. She is the one that was on staff at one of the summer camps in South Texas and couldn't get out for a few days because of the flooding. We are so thankful that nothing happen to her and we praise God for that.

Church in a couple of hours and then out to lunch. Have a blessed day and be safe.... :D

Good morning. David, give Grace a hug from us and I'm still thanking God for protecting her through that flood. Phil. I've been praying for you and Miss Joy and her tummy issues. Did you get the insurance coverage issues figured out or do we have to take up a collection? We would be having a beautiful morning happening if it weren't for those Canadians not keeping their smoke on their side of the border. They are starting to get on my nerves. Most of Northern Minnesota is in the red (unhealthy) zone. My eyes keep watering and my sinuses are irritated. Jane said she is ready to go to church this morning. She is a little self conscious about her head looking like it's been sewed back on. The doctor said most of the little train track looking scar will go away as it heals and the swelling goes down. Have a great Sunday.____Dave

Good morning knifers .
Nice day brewing here. If it wasn’t for all the smoke from the fires up north it would be a beautiful day. We’re in the red like Dave in Duluth area and you can smell the smoke today and it’s got a few people hiding out . It’s hard on the sinuses and eyes for some of us older folks. Will head to church in a bit . This afternoon will be going to see a brother who was off grid for a number of years . Him and his son are guides up in Homer Alaska and he’s come home for a while. Really looking forward to seeing him.
Enjoy your day out there folks!

Morning folks, 69 heading to the mid 80's to low 90's with a slight chance of a pop-up. l watch storms to our west last evening on the radar on my phone and man it was looking good, then it started falling apart and we got zip, nada.
We got the plants watered this morning.
Farmer sure hope miss Joy's doctor gets this figured out and that it's nothing serious, Dave sure glad miss Jane is feeling up to going to church. Thank the lord.
Yawl probably don't need to be in that smoke if you can help it.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there.

Good Morning,
A nice, but cloudy 72* with a high of 80* today. Rained all night and that system is moving out. Looks like we have scattered showers for the rest of the day here in the Missouri Ozarks. Nothing to do today but lounge around the house. Will be nice after a busy week! Y'all have a great day and Good Sabbath to you! Remember to be safe, be careful and be alert out there!

Sometimes it pays to go 3 or 4 rounds with an Internet company. 1st I called to bitch about a $10 increase in my bill and to find out why I couldn’t sign into my account online. After at least 2 call transfers I find out I had been getting a $10 monthly “loyal customer” credit. Fine, so why why aren’t I still a loyal customer (20+ years). Oh, that credit has expired. Duh!
Next, how to sign into my account, after giving enough info to get a passport I finally get a user name. The rep sent me a text to download their app and get into my account. No thank you and more than few choice words I hung up. Called it a night.
Next day I manage to get the account set up and access, no app needed. I compared my billing with the plans that they offered, doesn’t match either plan. Another phone call, better luck this time, after 1 transfer I got a rep that actually looked at my account. I was billed on an old plan, my modem is outdated. New plan, $20 less, new modem shipped plus 2 WiFi boosters. They arrived yesterday so my project today is to hookup everything, looks pretty simple.
Wish me luck!
End of rant…
