Found this at the local Re-Store for a dollar today. For the life of me I can't remember the history of this knife. Since it has no other markings can someone help out?

Ridgegrass wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2026 6:55 pm Picked up this USA (Colonial) just because. Some of my earliest memories of a knife were fishing with my Grandfather. He had a yellow fish knife similar to this one and showed me how to scale a fish. He scaled with the knife closed and that made sense as that long blade has quite a bending moment when it's open and puts quite a stress on the pivot pin. Anyway, this one has a wicked edge. Always fun to see an old one, can't resist for a couple bucks. J.O'.
Great knife J.O.!!! Great story and wonderful treasured memories keep us smiling!! I'm happy for you!!! :D

Found this 4 line Camillus 6 blade with black composite scales. It's nothing special but it feels good to find something after a long dry spell with nothing to post.____Dave

Nice pair! Normally, I'm used to M-Tech stuff being the ubiquitous, ugly "mall ninja" type knife--not a nice slipjoint Trapper.

I'm with you Cody, i was surprised when I opened it up and saw mtec, had no idea they made anything but what you described, the handles are what caught my eye, they seem to change colors and shimmer when you move them around in different light. Fit and finish is comparable with any Colt, Marbles or RR that I own.
I more or less got old bubba to throw it with the old buck, I wanted it as I owned one if them back in the nineties and lost it, love the feel on the handles. ::handshake::

Nice Colonial, Scott. Uncommon with solid bolsters and pinned covers. I have a scout pattern from Colonial with similar construction.

Some nice knives!
The real surprise is the slipjoint MTec. Never seen a "traditional" MTec before.

Found a nice pile of rusty old junk at a flea yestiddy (bh must be rubbing off on me) :D
1. Beat up old strop. Pretty toasted but i thought i could use it as a photo prop
2. Village Blacksmith chef and butcher knives. These were made about an hour from my house.
3. Big chonky scissors. Didn’t have any this big, had to have. I think. S.R. Co. Is Sears Roebuck?
4. Linoleum knife made by Harrington and Son Cutlery. This is the first Cutlery company in the United States. That son in the name is Dexter, he eventually had a product line and eventually company named after him.
5. Blue Steel fixed blade knife. Seems like a fairly low quality fixed blade but in nice condition. Couldn't find much on the brand, searches for Blue steel turns up pages of blue-painted zombie-killing gas-station karambits.

Pictures posted in reverse order, but you get the idea
