Notice what state this guy is selling from. I have several Tenn. sellers flagged as selling bad knives.

Holy Smokes! He sold the last one for $330. No wonder it's habit forming. I just hope the second bidder on that last knife doesn't find this one.

The true value is a lot closer to the 25 cents stamped on the tang than the $330 the bidder paid.

There are lots of fine folks in Tenn. that I have done business with. There are a few bad apples there but that does not reflect the majority. There was the Clarkville Connection (I think) where 2 were arrested and prosecuted for making fakes. This pair made a lot of trouble for an honest dealer who is a member here.

This forum (Counterfeit Watch) is a very valuable resource BUT unfortunately IMO, the name of the forum will invite problems. Sometimes there has been trouble when sellers find their knives in this forum. Some are willing to change their listings, others explain why their knife is real while others just get in your face and tee off!

There are a few bad apples everywhere!

Hey Guys, I don't think it is fair to start labeling sellers in Tennessee. I have bought knives from two guys in that state and you couldn't ask for two more honest people. For one thing, a lot of sellers come from TN because that is really big knife country. I suppose you could also say "all outlaw cowboys come from Texas". As others have mentioned, let's stick to knife talk, not slander. ::tu::

Didn't Jim Parker have something to do with 25 50 and 75 cent knives? They could have been found in a factory after years of sitting their unloved and Parker had elves put them together with tiny little hammers :(

I have seen a couple of references to Parker and the Cent knives, here's one Ebay listing.

I saw two Case 25c tang knives today. Neither of them had a any other stamps such as the material, blades, or model stamp, or a metal emblem on the handle. Are they fake?

Without a picture you can't reasonably expect anyone to appraise the knives. Pictures would be helpful. There are plenty of post about CASE 25 cent knives in the counterfeit watch forum. Searching there might be of some help to you.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

I agree without pictures it’s not possible to assess the knives. However, I will say that genuine Case 25¢ knives have no stamps other than the “Case 25¢” stamp, and the have no shields (“metal emblem on the handle”). However most fakes don’t have those either. You need to look for other clues to determine an authentic version, so pictures are still needed. Here is a link to a post showing genuine ones. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=72114&p=943114&hilit=Cent#p943032
